For years, ex?Navy SEAL Maxwell Moore has worked across the Middle East and behind the scenes for the Special Activities Division of the CIA, making connections, extracting valuable intelligence, and facing off against America''s enemies at every turn. And then...news of a potentially devastating coalition: What if two of the greatest threats to the security of the United States were to form an unholy alliance? The Taliban is trying to exploit a Mexican drug cartel to which they supply opium as a means to bring the fire of jihad to the hearts of the infidels. It is up to Moore, and his team, to infiltrate and dismantle the drug cartel, even as they hunt for those who would bring the ultimate terror and destruction to the streets of America. In a story that races from the remote, war-scarred landscapes of the Middle East to the blood-soaked chaos of the U.S.?Mexico border, Tom Clancy once again delivers a heart-stopping thriller that is frighteningly close to reality.
Annotation:
When Maxwell Moore gets his ship blown up from underneath him off the coast of Pakistan, the ex-Navy SEAL who now works for the CIA will stop at nothing to track down the terrorists responsible. The deeper Moore digs, however, the more evidence he discovers connecting the violent extremists and the deadliest drug cartels. With anti-American forces from different continents joining forces, Moore must race against the clock to stop untold violence.
Author Bio
Tom Clancy
An insurance executive well into his late 30s, Tom Clancy first hit fame and fortune with the spy thriller "The Hunt for Red October", the sales of which soared when President Ronald Reagan called it a personal favorite. Though Clancy was never a military man himself, due to poor eyesight, he closely studied declassified military documents and used the technical information he gleaned from them to write his best-selling thrillers. Most of Clancy's novels feature ex-marine Jack Ryan, an intelligence analyst working with the CIA. Often the reluctant hero, Ryan battles foes such as international terrorists and powerful drug lords, often finding himself deeply immersed in the high-stakes world of espionage.
Praise
