I got two of these monitors for my mother and mother in law. They were very impressed with the screen size and clairity. They are both getting on in years so their vision is very important. This monitor made their computer use a much more pleasant experience! Great color and clarity.

I use this LCD for a dual monitor setup. The other LCD is Princeton LCD bought from Costco for $310. There is no difference between these two LCDs. Princeton LCD comes with two speakers and DVI input (which might be useful later). The manual does not tell you how to remove the stand. But the stand could be removed by removing plastic cover first to expose the two screws that attach the stand to the monitor.

I have been using this monitor for a couple weeks now. It arrived quickly, was a cinch to assemble and I have not had any problems with it. I had to use the disc to understand how to adjust the monitor.

Overall, this acer flat screen lcd monitor is great. I pulled it out of the box and plugged it and it works perfectly, no dead pixels whatsoever. Shipping from buy.com was extremely fast. I would recommend this for anybody looking for a decent lcd monitor with a budget.

As noted by some customers, it does not have DVI capabilities, but overall it is a very good monitor for the price and highly recommended. It is very clear and sharp, playing Half Life 2 was incredible, very smooth and clear. I guess the only downside is when whatching movies, when there are shadows or darkness in the movie it is not clear and sharp, hard to see the picture. But overall I'm a satisfied customer. Buy.com has come thru with great service, and Acer has won me over.

Installation and configuration was smooth and painless. However I have it as part of a three monitor configuration and it is it the least effective of the three. There is a slight fuzziness to character output which makes it difficult to use as a primary monitor. Readability is decreased because of this.

I've been a long time Acer owner, my last monitor was a 17" CRT by Acer which I've used for the last 8 years without any issues. I've been wanting a 19" monitor for a while now and after shopping around buy.com had the best deal on some of their 19" LCD's. I ordered my monitor on the 1st of November opting for the free shipping. It's now the 4th and I'm using it. No dead pixels, really easy installation, no driver software required, very bright vivid picture. I played SIMS 2 on this monitor and didn't notice any ghosting or problems. Very fluid motion. I played a divx movie full screen, wonderful picture, blacks looked good. This is an awesome deal and buy.com certainly impressed me with the lightning fast shipping.

Great product and service. I received my monitor in just two business days, plugged it in and it works great. This is my second Acer LCD monitor. I bought my first one about a year ago. To date it has worked perfectly. Buy.com has been great.

I was surprised by the how nice this monitor was. Easy installation, easy setup, and great value. I have seen other 19" LCDs that are basically the same and more expensive. The brightness is way more than my 19" monitor, so surprisingly so that I am buying a second one for my 2 monitor setup. Buy.com shipping was fast, very fast, I used the free shipping options (because I am cheap) and they listed it as 7-9 days. i got the monitor in 3 days.

I ordered this product on Thursday, 10/20/05. I received it on Monday, 10/24/05. I hooked it up and had it running on Monday evening 10/24/05. The Acer AL1914B has a Crisp, Clear and Bright Screen. I just received my new 19" Acer monitor today, a splurge I had been wanting to make for a while, and I love it!! I got a GREAT price, I simply plugged it in and turned it on and the quality is excellent. Arrived in perfect condition, and I got it 2 business days after ordering (even though I picked the 7-9 day shipping because it was less expensive). Thank you! This monitor does not have a DVI input port, so for those requiring one, skip it...For all those who desire a good quality 19" flat panel for around the $250 mark, this monitor is for YOU! Mine arrived within 2 days, NO dead pixels, plug and play. This monitor has decent response times (12ms), shows video, and plays GTA-III very well. The auto configure feature is nice, and I actually had to turn the brightness down, as this is a colorful and BRIGHT monitor. Overall, I am very pleased for the price! Also, as normal, BUY.COM had quick shipping times. I am satisfied.
