Acer Ferrari F-22 - 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor - 20000:1, 2ms, 1680x1050, HDMI - ET.LED0C.007

I bought this monitor to go with my new Macbook at home. It's a great monitor but it's not as sharp when compared to the built in screen on the laptop. That being said, I'm not an artist and I don't need it to be that crisp. It does a fine job. I've had it for about 4 months now and I'd buy it again.

This is an excellent monitor. The HDMI connection is a plus and really brings out the performance of the unit. The unit has a nice high-gloss black finish which I like. The touch controls are located on the front so any adjustments are easier to make in comparison to the my other Acer monitor, which has the controls under the panel. I use this in my home office and it's hooked up to my HP DV6000 notebook. Also, Buy.com had the best price.

It is really nice monitor. It is cute, high quality and makes your desk and office to look very stylish. It is a little more expensive then regular Acer with similar futures but response time and image quality were worth it. Shipping time was short and I have no complains about it.

This monitor is a bargain. It looks unique and very cool, and works great. I moved up from a 17" CRT so the extra room on the desktop is a huge improvement. Highly recommended.

I bought this for my wife and she loves it. Right size, clear crystal picture, a little glare but expected and is manageable,and she can view the letters much better when reading. Watching CD movies especially animated is 'great'. The Acer Ferrari monitor is just the right monitor for her needs and I recommend this monitor to anyone and give it 5 stars. Thank you Acer for coming out with a great desktop monitor.

I've put off going wide & flat for along time, and I'm glad I waited. This is an incredible value. It put's my wife's 24" iMac to shame. All my games look incredible, and when I run my multi track recording software, I feel like I'm sitting in a pro studio. Unless you have some special requirement or nit picking obsession about how on screen controls work, there's no reason to spend more money on a 22" monitor. I will say it's best if you don't have direct lighting behind you, a bright bulb will cause a rather strong reflection.

Bought this for a friend - tried it out for a few days while updating his computer. Even hooked it up as a second monitor on my XP PC. In all cases it worked flawlessly and delivered a very clean, color accurate picture. I bit overexposed for my tast but easily adjusted through its console controls. I also liked its small compact footprint. It even auto-configured to each of the machines I connected it to (including a netbook). Now it does not use the top of the line LCD. It is fast but does not have in-depth color management controls of more expensive sets, though you can adjust colors to be cool, warm or standard. I would buy it for myself if I could do better color calibration with it so it would match my current 24 inch Dell monitor (and Canon printer). No doubt it is a great buy and picture for the $200 (or so) investment - more so if your not picky about in-depth color calibration. To me, it was a surprisingly good performer and not bad looking to boot.

I've fiddled around for a couple of years now before finally going to an LCD monitor for my hot rod computer. Besides being attached to my high performance 26" CRT for years I just wasn't seeing the combination of LCD performance, price point and screen size that would cause me to jump in. Then this F-22 came along and it looked like it might be the one - I first saw it over at newegg where it was three hundred and fifty bucks! So anyway I got it from buy.com and couldn't be happier - it is bright, crisp and has a flawless screen and a slim, sleek appearance on my desk! It has NO light bleed on the edges, the adjustments are easy to use and the HDMI connection was perfect for running a satellite connection to it. I only have 2 complaints - it wasn't free and I didn't get 2 of them in the box for the price of one! Oh....the Ferrarri symbol ISN'T tacky at all, it sets the unit apart from all the other cookie-cutter LCD's out there and my friends now think I'm too cool instead of just a techno-weenie!

Pretty happy with the quality. Wish I went a bit bigger but using it as a bedside TV. Pretty good size still, no problems. I liked the Ferrari symbol more when I opened it up but after a couple weeks I think it looks cheap and tacky. Oh well, it's still a pimp disply.

Got it to play World of Warcraft on two acccounts. ABSOULUTELY PHENOMINAL with HDMI hookups. Will defintely be staying with Acer after this purchase. Also super fast 3day shipping for free, never had that happen before anywhere.

I read a lot of the reviews and decided to buy this monitor. I am a Graphic Designer and this monitor is great. The quality of the picture is amazing. I would recommend this to everyone. Great price too!

It is clear, crisp and responsive. The real estate gained over my old 19" was worth the upgrade. One minor, very minor, caveat is the power on/off button takes some getting used to as you have to press it and wait. It takes a second or two to come on but other than that I could not have asked for more in an upgrade for this type of equipment. And the delivery time was more than spot on, good job Buy.com.

Crisp picture, fast 2ms response time means no lag in gaming and movies. Nice touch menu area at the bottom right of the monitor. I had ordered a previous F-22 monitor and had to send it back because of a vertical green line on the right side of the screen. I was issued a replacement unit and this one has no defects including zero dead pixels. So far, so good. The only con is a slight backlight bleeding when displaying black colored screen, but it's hardly noticeable.

I bought this monitor to supplement my new 13" MacBook, and while it isn't as crisp as the monitor on the laptop, it doesn't have to be as long as it's $600 less than what Apple is asking for a similar sized monitor. It was plug and play with the adapter I purchased from Apple. This is a great deal for the price and I've gotten used to the minor difference in clarity. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase one again.

Picture Quality is great. The colors are very nice from the 20000:1 contrast ratio. Ferrari Emblem is unique and adds some character to the product as well as the glossy finish on the screen and frame. Mine did have a faulty HDMI input that would not pick up a HDMI signal however. Manufacturer defects do occur even on the best of products. :(

What a monitor. I have a Sapphire Radeon HD 4830 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 card running this monitor. Looks phenomenal. The menu buttons could be a little more desirable, but no big deal. The specs are wonderful with 20K:1 contrast ratio and 2 ms response time.

I purchased this monitor after buying 2 other monitors to compare it to. I purchased a Westinghouse L2210NW ($220Best Buy) and a Samsung T220 ($279Best Buy). The Westinghouse had terrible blacks and the Samsung was slightly better. However this Acer that I got for $194 shipped to my door is leaps and bounds better than both of those other monitors. I play a lot of Quake 3 and Quake Live which or both high frame rate and the fastest paced first person shooters around, and I get almost no ghosting. I only say almost because its a slight difference between my zero ghosting CRT. But for the money this is the best LCD you can buy IMO. Buy with confidence. You will need to take the time to setup the monitor to get the colors to be as accurate as possible. There is some light bleed on the edges when watching a letterboxed movie, but thats to be expected given its an LCD and has a backlight (can't wait for affordable OLED =]). But I would recommend this monitor to anyone. Also it looks super sleek sitting on my desk.

I debated about buying this, and finally pulled the trigger. It's a nice looking and nice performing display. I probably could have down without the ferrari logo on the front of it, but the style does look good. The stand is a little loose for my taste, and the glossy screen looks good, but if you have a window behind you, you'll have some reflections. I'd certainly buy another one.

I bought this product about a month ago as part of my first computer build. And from the moment the product was delivered, I fell in love with it. First, the glossy look of the chassis it nice. Now I do have to warn you that it does get a little dusty, but I just wipe it down every couple of days. It does not bother me though. Second, I enjoy the touch sensitive buttons cause they help to not take away from the sleek design. Finally, the HDMI is unbelieveable. I have a 5.1 surround sound system as well, and it makes watching my DVDs great. The monitor is bigger than my current TV. What else can I say?

I just got this monitor for a few hours, I have to say I'm VERY impressed by the design. The glossy screen just makes the colors POP out. The glossy design just SCREAMS style. I just didn't like that little red line just above the ferrari symbol, but that's just me nit-picking. As for the performance, I can't see any ghosting or flaws.

This was my 2nd purchase of the same monitor. It is great! Picture is sharp, clear, and the menu system is easy to access and use. It is a lot of monitor for the price. Plus it looks so classy on the desktop! Even the power-on LED sequence is classy... just like starting up a real Ferrari (the car). It is likely that this is the closest I will ever get to owning a real Ferrari (the car)!

I needed a new monitor for gaming after my old one died. I could not be more pleased with this monitor. It is absolutely gorgeous. Crysis looks beautiful on this monitor. Vivid colors, bright whites and dark blacks. Contrast ratio is superb. With the HDMI input the picture looks incredibly crisp. Theres just no cons at all with this monitor. If you thinking about buying this monitor, don't think about it. Just go for it. This is the best investment I've made for my computer by far.

I was looking for a monitor and stumbled upon this. I have nothing bad to say at all. It got here quickly and without any defects. No pixels are out, and the Ferrari logo on the front looks really cool. I really like the fact that it has VGA/DVI/HDMI hookups in the back. I love it.

Excellent monitor. I hesitated to buy ACER but after hours reading all the reviews realized that almost all monitors under $300 are pretty similar in quality. Why I decided to go with this one: 1) nice price even without any rebates or deals 2) very compact stand since my desk is narrow 3) great look and glossy screen (if you have direct light coming upon your workspace or from behind beware that glossy screen may not be for you due to reflections) 4) 3 inputs - HDMI, DVI, VGA - I wanted HDMI and DVI at least I was afraid of red line but it does not bother me a bit. Monitor was packed very professionally - unwrapping it was like a Christmas gift. colors are very bright and nice - gave a whole new look to my HD home video and pictures. What I did not like: 1) takes some time to power up - 15-20 seconds. It took only 5 sec from my old 19 LCD Samsung 2) no dedicated button to change the source of signal from DVI to HDMI - must have if you have to change the source frequently. You still can do that in the menu, but it is not an easy process Overall I am very happy with the monitor and will recommend it if you do not want too big screen on your desk

Wonderful monitor! Playing high resolution games on this thing is really nice. Colors a very vibrant. Pictures and games are crisp with rich detail. Tomb Raider was stunning.

What sold me on this monitor was its price and support for HDMI as well as DVI and VGA connections, and I wasn't disappointed. It was a little bright out of the box as some reviews remarked, but easily adjusted. No stuck pixels either. Note that I did do a Windows Update right afterwards, and it upgraded my computer's XP video driver, after which the display changed to its native resolution. I also switched from VGA to HDMI after buying a video card, and the monitor automatically switched over and maintained the same, clear picture with sharp text - couldn't tell if there was any improvement, but perhaps if I watch a DVD I'll see some benefit. My only beef is it doesn't turn itself off when you turn off your PC when using HDMI as it does when you use VGA. Overall, if you are looking for a large monitor with great picture with the bonus of some style, this is your best bet!

This monitor looks great and it is a great value, but after a month of use, the screen developed a dead pixel. A disappointment since it is a new monitor. Couldn't get a RMA due to the 14 day policy.

Love the display, great video and easy to setup in XP & Vista! But, The stand is not that hot. The center of the stand sits lower than the feet, so when you press the on/off button the whole monitor turns around in place. That makes it hard to turn off and on without repositioning the display every time. Overall if you can get over the stand issue this is a great monitor at a great price. (and it is probably the only Ferrari I could ever afford!)

I just received this monitor and I'd say it is a work of art. For the money and specs you just can not go wrong. It was a beauty right out of the box. I play a lot of FPS games online and compete and seems to have no issues as of yet. The ferrari logo can be looked past for such a nice monitor & to note that the screen is also adjustable.

I have never had an ACER monitor before but this one looks good (had it about a month) and it can handle anything so far. I have it hooked up to a KVM that links my desktop and my laptop, switches back and forth easily. Viewing angle is fine. I think the Ferrari accents are just enough and not over-done and I dont feel like its some kids toy monitor (I like how the power button looks like a speedometer needle) I bought this monitor for about 189.00 and would buy another if I was already setup for splitscreen action.

The monitor looks good - there was no dead pixel, and the darks are decent. There is no quick switch to select if you are running two PCs with one monitor - you have to go to menu and then scroll and select. Also, the on/off switch takes like two seconds to respond. Apart from that, its a great monitor.

The picture is beautiful with my 360 and ps3 but the only downside I have for the monitor is that I wish it had more inputs in it, like coax or RGB. But right out of the box it was and still is a beautiful product.

Found the monitor to be surprisingly light.. very easy to set up. Good software out of the box to set it up.. Default brightness can be toned down a bit. Pretty good otherwise.

I just bought this a few weeks ago and it's been great for what I need. I use it for my xbox 360 and my macbook pro. Since it has dvi and hdmi I just keep both plugged in at the same time and just switch between them through the menu. It's really nice for editing videos since I can have one monitor for editing, and the other for my video preview. On a side note, the "buttons" on the front are very cool. They're not actually buttons that push in, instead they're touch sensitive and they get brighter when touched. Please remember, there's no audio capabilities whatsoever with this monitor, it's just a monitor. The colors look amazing on it especially through hdmi and it's great for watching my tv shows online(hulu.com) since I don't have cable. I definitely recommend this to anybody in need of another monitor.

Touchscreen controls are not as good as regular buttons. Colors are very good. The finish is glossy so smudges can appear if you adjust the screen. Wish it had a height adjustment but many monitors at this price don't have it. The startup takes a few seconds compared to my Dell 2005 FPW which turns on within half a second. I hope it's because the monitor uses less power when off but it is not a big deal. I haven't seen any ghosting which is nice. Sub-$200 prices provide a compelling value argument. I don't believe that anyone will have many complaints with this monitor.
