    I just bought this laptop for a friend and after 2 days I remove Vista and went back to XP, the drivers on Acer's Website for this laptop were not really clear and it took me a couple of hours to made it work; at the end I'm disappointed one more time of Windows Vista

    Overall satisfaction is 1 (one) only because the scale won't allow lower.... ACER! worst customer service on the planet 1st month back for service twice - still not working right and they made me pay shipping to return to fix the same item... garbage

    3 of 5 Somewhat disappointed Thursday, November 29, 2007

    I bought this for my kids, so was willing to take a risk with Windows Vista (for work I use Windows XP Business). I was impressed with getting 1gb of memory with the laptop. But the integrated graphics, required by Vista, takes up 256mb of that. The laptop came with excellent documentation. Windows Vista Home Basic is very, very slow. I immediately removed the Norton Virus software which really slows things down (replacing it with Avast freeware). I would rate this higher, but Acer adds their own additional software (fluffware), which slows down the laptop even more. This is my biggest complaint. It would be nice if this Acer software could be opted out of during initial setup.
