Notes & Personnel Info | | Personnel: Big Tuck (rap vocals); Lil Ronnie, Fat B., Tum Tum, Sleepy Lee, Double T, Dr? , Erykah Badu, Addiction, Slim Thug, Tite, Bun B, Chamillionaire (rap vocals). | | Representing for Dallas, Texas, Big Tuck makes slow, woozy hardcore rap hand-carved in the studio for rolling in the jeep with the speakers booming. "Monsta," the lead-off track on the artist's 2006 release, THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH, is a case in point, a skull-rattling beat joined to a hands-in-the-air chorus. There are moments of dynamic subtlety, like the Erykah Badu-led cut "Ain't No Mistakin'," but the majority of the disc delivers slamming, head-nodding hardcore in the Dirty South tradition. A true grass-roots phenomenon, Big Tuck achieved tremendous success selling his music independently, but THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH indicates that the rapper is ready for a call-up to the bigs. | Musical Guests | | Fat B. | | Tum Tum | | Chamillionaire | | Dre | | Sleepy Lee | | Bun B | | Slim Thug | | Lil Ronnie | | Double T. | | Erykah Badu | | Paul Wall | | Addiction | | Tite |
