Able Planet NC500SC Sound Clarity Noise Canceling Headphones - Lifetime Warranty

Every yr is a challenge trying to find a gift for my father. This yr my Dad gave me a small list. He had the NC500SC listed as a MUST HAVE item. He has some hearing loss in his right ear which causes him some frustration while listening to the TV or to music. His friend suggested these headphones. The day after getting his gift, he cld so excited about how well he can actually hear everything. He sd it was the first time in a long time he heard sounds crisp and clear. He has since suggested this product to several of his friends. These are truly a great buy!!!

I'm pretty darn fussy about premium sound and willing to pay for it. Something special in the recipe in these Able Planet headphones. Very competitive noise cancelling and reasonable comfort ... but the sound is awesome! One of the better deals I've encountered in personal audio products in a long time.

I'm very happy with this product, having used them on several long flights as soon as I got them. I found the Bose prices too high for my intended use, but do not feel that I have traded down at all. Frequency response was very good, though it seemed a bit weighted toward lower frequencies, despite the Linx Audio feature designed to enhance high frequency and speech clarity. (Maybe I had just grown used to the "thin" sound of airplane headsets and forgot what that richer bass -- and even mid-range -- response sounded like!) It wasn't "boomy" or "tubby", however, just strong. Overall comfort and ease of use was excellent, though I did want to give my ears a short "breather" after about 90 minutes of continued use. Still, quite comfortable. Noise cancelling made for a much more pleasant flight. I plan to try them for some more critical home listening soon. Nicely-designed storage unit.
