This wheel is perfect for the games that it was designed for. It works really well for Forza 2 and Dirt but some of the arcade type racing games it doesn't work very well for, Juiced 2 in particular. If you buy a wheel for realism make sure the games you're playing are simulation. Was this review helpful?

I pre-ordered this from buy.com and got totally screwed on the price as a result, but I don't regret buying this wheel. I played Forza 2 and PGR4 for at least 40 hours each while I waited for my wheel, and got pretty good. As others have mentioned, switching from xbox controller to wheel is tough. The cars (especially in Forza) will do things like go into barely-controllable oscillations using the wheel(like a tank-slapper on a motorcycle), but never with the controller. I have to believe the wheel driver for these games calls on more detailed game physics than the controller does. Nevertheless, you do learn to adapt, and I would never go back to using the controller for racing games.
To get the best from this or any wheel, it does need to be firmly anchored on something other than your lap. I built a frame to mount the wheel to, and I jam a heavy ottoman against the pedals, which works pretty well from my recliner. However, I'm certain one of those $300 dedicated racing seats with the mounting points for wheel and pedals would be totally worth it(to everyone except for my wife). Was this review helpful?

The product was missing the installation disk, and when I called Microsoft support, not one person spoke English. They couldn't help me at all. I eventually gave up. The product overall is junk, using your controller is still easier to steer than using the wheel. The wheel is extremely "over" sensitive and bulky.
I would never recommend this product to anyone, and as far as Microsoft's support on this product, it couldn't be worse. Was this review helpful?

I have owned acouple of racing wheels with the force feedback (nascar pro digital 2) and I got to say the xbox360 racing wheel is a much more realistic and accurate wheel that I have used. The pedals hold in place very well. The xbox360 wheel is a very well made accessory. For the price, I would recommend this racing wheel to anyone and all my friends. The only thing I don't like is, even though it's wireless to the xbox360. You still have to plug it into an outlet. But what do you expect from such a big accessory. Was this review helpful?

If you really love your racing games, this wheel is pretty much a must buy. Best for simulation driving/racing games like Forza and Dirt etc. (granted Dirt is a bit arcadey). Has some of the best force feedback and feel of any wheel ever to grace a console. For those who remember the Logitech force feedback wheel on PS2 for GT3/4, this one is even better than that, and that was a pretty good wheel.
Using the wheel will take some getting used to though! When I first started using it I could barely control my vehicle and nearly wanted to give up and just use the controller again. Luckily the wheel is tons of fun even when it does feel like it's messing up your times. So I stuck with it and eventually got as good as using a controller... then I got better than when I use a controller. I know it sounds corny, but this wheel really does take console racing to another level. Buy it you won't regret it. Was this review helpful?

This game accessory is surprisingly well-constructed and offers many enhancements that are essential to really enjoy auto racing simulations. The standard game joystick controller is really inadequate when trying to control a car simulation game. The additional control range of the steering wheel, the use of foot pedals, and the vibration/impact feedback through the wheel completly transform a game like Forza 2 from difficult to play and hard to control with the standard XBOX 350 controller to a simulation that is truly fun and enjoyable! Considering the features and quality of construction, the XBOX 360 Wireless Racing Wheel is really a bargain at the price. I feel that it is an ESSENTIAL XBOX accessory for XBOX owners who indend to play this type of automobile racing simulation game! Was this review helpful?

Bought this once at Best buy thinking, "Eh, if i don't like it at least I can return it." After purchasing it within 1 minute of playing I loved it. Loved it so much in fact I ordered another one from here. I had been playing Forza 2 for about 10 hours previous to buying the wheel and decided to send it back (was a rental). After plugging in the wheel, I haven't stopped playing it yet. Very realistic, and a great game to introduce guests to when they're over as they do not expect the steering to feel so real. It is wireless, but only if you don't want the force feedback (the jolting and pulling of the wheel when you lose control of the car). I definitely prefer plugging it into the wall for that feature. The pedals are always tethered to the wheel even if you choose to go wireless. I would recommend this if you like any type of racing game!!
