5 of 5 Good card for an old upgrade Monday, June 09, 2008
camac881@verizon.net from Middleboro, MA

A good Nvidia card. Much better than the 64 M card that was in the system. No driver issues with XP, went in like a charm. Very crisp images and full motion video is smooth using a CRT.

5 of 5 Sweet Card! Tuesday, March 11, 2008
Steve from Hesperia, CA
I've got an old, slow computer and no cash, so what do I do? Buy a killer video card like this and a couple gigs of RAM, and it's like a whole new animal! I like to run IMVU, which is rather graphic-intensive, and this card handles it like a champ, even when Aero is running!

5 of 5 Great card for the money Monday, March 10, 2008
DBK's Dad from Whitman, MA
I needed to upgrade my son's PC to play Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 and Age of Empires 3. He's not a huge gamer so we just needed soemthing cheap to get him going. He's been using ti for about three weeks now and it has hands down performed beyond my expectation. No complaints coming from him. The advanced features are a little confusing but it installed easily and I haven't had to adjust anything but the resolution. I recommend it for an older PC. The 22" flat screen we got a year ago looks amazing with the new card.

5 of 5 Does what I needed and then some. Thursday, February 21, 2008
Ken from Long Branch, NJ
I bought this card to upgrade the on-board graphics of an older HP system. I got a new 24" monitor for a Christmas gift, and the old chipset introduced some interference at higher resolutions. Not only did it clear up those issues, I've also been able to participate in some virtual meetings at www.SecondLife.com. But the best part is the cards dual output. I'm using the new monitor on the cards DVI port, and the old monitor on the VGA port. I've been keeping Outlook open on the smaller monitor off to the side, and use the larger one in front of me for whatever I'm working on at the time. I gave performance a 4 due to the older technology, but it does everything I need for a reasonable price.

5 of 5 Perfect upgrade for widescreen LCD Tuesday, February 12, 2008
Jeremy from Upstate, South Carolina
My dad has an older, but not yet outdated computer. Last year he bought a Samsung 226BW and had problems using it with the DVI signal. We were able to set a custom resolution on his nVidia FX-5200 to get the analog signal to work at 1680 x 1050 (native), but he still had problems with videos not showing (they were blank), and often his PC would lock up if using Windows Media Center. I did some research and figured out that the FX-5200 does not support 1680 x 1050 for LCD's and that this GeForce 6200 does. I bought the GeForce 6200 for him as a Christmas present. When it came in, I went over to his house to install it. Because he already had an nVidia card and we had updated drivers to the latest trying to get the old card to work, the installation was plug-n-play. The first boot yielded 640 x 480 at 16 colors, but we rebooted and the card was recognized. Changed the resolution to 1680 x 1050 using the DVI signal and all was good. Everything worked as expected and no more lock-ups. This was a great fix for the widescreen LCD upgrade and the price was very reasonable. Buy.com free shipping did take forever and a day in this particular case (have had better luck in the past), but I had already planned for that.

5 of 5 Great little card for the price for Linux systems Wednesday, February 06, 2008
A Customer from Olney, MD
Sure, it's not a gamer's card, but gamers already know that, and they aren't looking at inexpensive AGP cards anyway. I fought with the ATI Linux drivers for months, trying to get them to behave on two dual-boot XP/Ubuntu systems with DVI/LCD screens. Finally gave up, and wish I had much sooner. Borrowed an older NVidia FX5200, and most of the problems when away, so I ordered this one. Just in upgrading from the 5200 to the 6200, Windows lost all it's settings, required loading the drivers off of the CD, a reboot, then tweaking. Ubuntu did it all automatically, loaded the new driver without even mentioning the fact, and was automatically configured to the native resolution of the LCD. I didn't have to do a thing. Zero problems so far, it even handles the clunky Linux version of Adobe Flash as well as anything I've seen. Handles DVD and AVI playback easily. I'm using the NVidia proprietary (binary only) drivers as loaded by Automatix2. Very sorry now that I wasted so much time fooling with those other cards. This is a great choice for an AGP card if, like many of us, you are looking to sever those last ties with Windows about now.

5 of 5 XFX GeForce 6200 Friday, February 01, 2008
markob50 from Long Beach, CA
I have a hp pavilion a450n with pentium 4. The video card that came with it failed on the first time that I tried to use it for the dvi connection. My computer is almost 4 years old and I did not want to spend a lot of money. My monitor is an acer X191W. I followed the directions, and within no time at all everything was working fine. I called XFX for a technical question and they were great.

5 of 5 XFX GRAPHICS Thursday, January 31, 2008
A Customer from Lone Tree, CO
This card is great! I'm not a gamer and was interested in upgrading my graphics card to have a more compatible picture on my 24 inch HD monitor. I watch a lot of movies and by installing this card I was able to extend the expansion from 2.3 to 4.2 which resulted in movies almost filling the entire screen. XFXGeForce support is awesome! When you register your product be sure to create a log on ID. I've never waited more than 48 hours for an accurate, helpful response.

5 of 5 XFX vdo card 6200 Excellent Wednesday, January 23, 2008
Jazz from Spokane,WA
I just got this card yesterday. I follow instruction and within 10 minutes I got everything running. I have very old computer Compaq since 1999 AMD Athlon900 with 8 Meg Video Card. I bought new Samsung Monitor 24" and would like to have DVI out instaed of VGA. What a difference going from ATI 8 Meg VGA to DVI 256 Meg Nividia. I strongly recommend this purchase. Buy.com more than satisfying me in price, shipping speed and quality products. Thanks for all of your reviews that is where I read and make selection.
