Wilder! Longer! Funnier! More footage and more laughs make this "Uncorked Edition" a "bust-a-gut, roll-in-the-aisle" (Maxim) comedy and the most raucous party of the year!

John Beckwith (Owen Wilson) and Jeremy Grey (Vince Vaughn), Washington D.C.'s top divorce mediators and lifelong best friends, have never met a wedding they couldn't charm their way into. Guided by a secret set of "wedding crashing rules," the pair attends a different wedding -- and romances different bridesmaids -- every week. But, when they crash the social event of the season, John falls for the daughter (Rachel McAdams) of an influential and eccentric politician (Christopher Walken) and decides to break the "rules" in pursuit of her love. What results is a wild weekend at her family's palatial estate where the ultimate "crashers" quickly find themselves in way over their heads!

"Trust me: You won't hate yourself in the morning. These swindlers are sensational."  Glenn Whipp, Los Angeles Daily News
"...two hours of great big sloppy buck-wild laughs... a cross between Meet the Parents and Some Like It Hot."  Kyle Smith, New York Post

Editor's Note

Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn are an unbeatable combination as two Washington DC lawyers who get their kicks, and their girls, by crashing weddings. Displaying talent, wit, intelligence, and ample charm, the pair seldom fails at their mutual mission of seduction. But eventually they get bored with the routine. Everything explodes when they crash an upper-crust wedding given by US Senator William Cleary (Christopher Walken). Jeremy (Vaughn) makes the ostensible mistake of seducing Cleary's sexually ravenous daughter Gloria (Isla Fisher) and John (Wilson) falls head over heels for the beautiful, slightly sarcastic older sister, Claire (Rachel McAdams). But Claire is nearly engaged to a slimy, macho, ivy-league snob played with beady-eyed gusto by ALIAS's Bradley Cooper. The boys get lured away on a weekend trip to the Cleary's estate, which is when the film begins to resemble an early 1930s pre-code comedy with its innuendo-filled banter, eccentric grandmothers, suspicious rivals, and copious bed-hopping.

Vaughn's motor-mouth aggression plays off Wilson's irresistible sensitivity (and vice versa) to such perfection that they leave other contemporary romantic comedy teams in the dust. They manage to get plenty of laughs and warmth from their believably close male friendship without resorting to any clichd homoerotic references. Their respective love interests are also outstanding, particularly McAdams who displays extraordinary wit and presence in addition to her stunning beauty. Walken is surprisingly low-key as the senator, tuning his usual craziness down to a few tensile stares. Seventies mini-series staple Jane Seymour is memorable as the senator's sex-starved, boozed-up wife, who makes a play for John.

James Berardinelli's ReelViews 5 of 10
During the first ten minutes of Wedding Crashers, we are treated to a display of the debauched antics that were staples in comedies of the late 1970s and 1980s. Alas, it's only a tease. Pretty soon, this movie settles into the comfortable groove of telling its story -- a by-the-numbers romantic comedy that's far too plot-heavy for its own good. The jokes become farther between and less funny as the filmmakers mistakenly believe that we in the audience actually care about the characters and their romantic entanglements. No cliche goes unmissed as the movie stumbles along its pre-determined trajectory. I'm not going to explicitly reveal the ending, but if you have seen more than one romantic comedy in your day, you'll know what's coming. - James Berardinelli

Rolling Stone 8 of 10
Sometimes a movie comedy just clicks. Welcome to one of those times. Wedding Crashers fires off big, fat, raucous laughs as if it had an endless supply. It doesn't. The film limps a bit in the final stretch like a wedding guest who knows how to party but doesn't know when to go home. A small price to pay for so much hot, rowdy fun. - Peter Travers

Chicago Sun-Times 5 of 10
Wedding Crashers is all runway and no takeoff. It assembles the elements for a laugh-out-loud comedy, but it can't make them fly. There are individual moments that are very funny. But it takes a merciless focus to make a good comedy, and the director, David Dobkin, has too much else on his mind. There are sequences involving Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson where you sense that the actors should have just broken into the cockpit and taken over the controls. There are few lonelier sights than a good comedian being funny in a movie that doesn't know what funny is. - Roger Ebert

2 of 5 Slightly Funny - HIGHLYt overrated Monday, February 27, 2006
Mo B from Pennsylvania

Viewed this film with great hopes of a night filled with hearty laughs. Instead we ended up being quite disappointed. While Owen Wilson, Vince Vaughn and Rachel McAdams were likable the movie fell flat in many aspects. The premise started off good but ended up being standard boy meets girl blah blah blah. The fianc was obnoxious beyond belief. I have no idea what they were shooting for with that character - it definitely didn't work for us. SOMEBODY would have knocked him on his arse after witnessing his behavior for 5 minutes. Would I recommend this film? I wouldn't flat out say no - but I would definitely suggest renting it rather then buying it like we did.
