The Beach Boys

Since their beginnings in Hawthorne, California, The Beach Boys have amassed a collection of 22 gold, five platinum and three multi-platinum albums. They scored their first top 20 hit, "Surfin' Safari," in 1962.

Their #1 hits include "I Get Around," "Help Me Rhonda" and the precedent-setting "Good Vibrations." Among their top 10 hits are "Surfin' USA," "Surfer Girl," "Fun Fun Fun," "Be True to Your School" and "California Girls." "California Girls" and others like "In My Room" and "Don't Worry, Baby," are all pop standards.

In 2001, The Beach Boys were honored by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences with a Lifetime Achievement Award, and Brian Wilson was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame by Sir Paul McCartney.
