The two volumes of Barney's Favorites are much like the children's television show itself -- cute and sweet, bordering on saccharine and basically only of interest to children. All the songs are catchy in a sing-song manner, and they never say anything offensive, even if the lyrics may be overly simplified and occasionally condescending.
