Introducing MP5 technology...the latest in Portable Entertainment. The popularity of web-based videos has increased due to lower costs of hosting videos online as well as popular sites such as YouTube and MySpace. Video files, which used to take up large amounts of space, have had advancements in compression technology. Formats such as Real Media and Flash make online streaming more accessible. However the drawback has been the inability to download and playback these video files across various platforms. But with MP5 technology, that is no longer the case. Flash videos from sites such as YouTube and MySpace can now be taken with you. Real Media files can be played back without the need for conversion. And of course our V-Core still supports AVI format video. The 2.8" 16:9 widescreen allows for the cinematic experience on the go.

MP3, WMA and Real Audio music formats are supported. And of course, like many of our other players, it is also loaded with features such as FM Radio, Voice Recorder, Picture Viewer and Text Reader. Never heard of V-core but went with it for the price. Have been enjoying it ever since, the battery life is pretty good and it recharges fairly fast. The no conversion thing is a hit or miss with some files but mostly formats are readable and I don't have any problems. That is more with videos, music works fine and its nice to be able to set the player for 3D speakers or your own EQ when using headphones. Overall with the price, this has been a good little player even though I can see a dead pixel on the screen now. The screen is fairly bright and makes watching videos on it pretty sweet, they call it Color TFT. I haven't picked up expandable memory as the 4 GB is a fair amount of room at the moment. Hooks up to your PC easily, installed with no hassle. The radio is hit or miss but I'm not in the best spot for that. If you don't mind the non-touch interface, and I don't if it saves me money, than I recommend grabbing this player.

What can I say. Cheaply made, everything about this thing is cheap. It feels like it'll break if your finger touch it too hard. The touch panel isn't glass but plastic. Very poorly put together. Will not buy anything for this cheap again. Wasted time and money. On the bright side, I can give it to my kids (7-9) and I wouldn't care much if they break it.
