5 of 5 Best mouse in the history of ever. Thursday, April 16, 2009
    Dashes from Whittier, Ca

This mouse has 3 joysticks, each with 4 programmable functions; making this the equivalent of a 17--yes, sevenTEEN--button mouse! It's a bit bulky, and the cord is a bit too thin to keep me from acting paranoid with it, but it makes for smooth control. Many do not like the fact the dynamic resolution changing only goes in one direction, and that you have to press both of the side buttons at the same time to use the function; but personally I wouldn't have it any other way. The only improvement it could use is macro support. Other than that, it is by far the most versatile mouse I've ever come across. It is absolutely perfect for gaming.

    5 of 5 3D Mouse Thursday, April 02, 2009
    A Customer from New Jersey
Works great, the joysticks have really come in handy for gaming, however for every day use i find myself using my old mouse due to the size of the 3d mouse. The wrist-rest that attaches to the bottom was very uncomfortable, however unsnaps really easily so i just don't use it. one of the main gimicks was that you could play a game without using a keyboard, i don't see how that would be an advantage in games like COD4 or even considered a good idea. But its good for games like WOW where you need spells to be right at your fingertips all in all, great buy if you want to have 14 easily accessible hotkeys added to your game.

4 of 5 great gaming mouse Wednesday, October 22, 2008
    Craig from WA
ok well what can i say, this mouse is great for gaming, not all gaming i might add i play games like EVE, WAR, COD4 etc, now this mouse is really great for games like WAR and WOW as u can map spells to all the 14 keys making u really fast at casting etc, games like EVE/COD4 where its only a few keys its not as useful, u can map walking but the mause does not support 2 keys at same time press so u cant strafe and walk (w+a for example) so u still have to use the keyboard basically for strategy games and WOW/WAR type games, this is a must have mouse for FPS/flight type games, try something like the logitect laser g5 mouse

4 of 5 Minor Button Problem Tuesday, October 14, 2008
    Dan from Goffstown NH
The left hand mouse button (mouse button One? the button used typically with the index finger) has pulled up... its raised above the right hand side button.. like a twisted wooden board the corner where it meets the right hand button is a few millimeters higher than the right button, and i can see underneath it, still works fine although i do notice that the first click with the left hand button sometimes does not register the first time, not sure if the problems are related..... not worth paying for shipping to exchange.... changing the dpi only moves one way low to high, would be nice to be able to go from 2000 to 400 dpi with one click (for gaming).... using the 3d buttons for movement in Fps shooters is not recommended by me.. but using them as quick select buttons for weapons or commands like drop the flag is pretty convenient..... smooth laser mouse movement in game, much better than non laser optical mouse, but the speed of the mouse seems to cap out, meaning if i move the mouse with a quick jerk the cursor or in game gun sight will lag behind at a steady speed and rest at where i wanted it about a second after the physical mouse stopped moving, not very good for quick reflex gaming, if that problem where fixed, would improve the gaming experience. not the ultimate gaming mouse due to that lag, but the toggle buttons add value.... mouse wheel is in an awkward position, a little far back about the middle of my middle finger, but still usable.... top toggle button is a little loose since its the one i use most, i use it instead of the mouse wheel for changing weps but it still works, and seems it will hold up..... had it for about 3 weeks.... for around 18 dollars pretty good buy..... shipped and received very fast, two or three days

    5 of 5 extra buttons a plus Monday, September 15, 2008
    Jason from Boston, MA
bought at sub-20 price. if you look at it just as a standard laser mouse, thats already a very good deal. extra axis buttons are not really good for 3-d movement, but since you can map then to any key on the keyboard, i just have them set to scroll up, down, left, right, pg-up, pg-down, etc etc. for easier navigation in windows normally. gaming, just map the buttons to commonly used functions (grenade, call for medic, hold position, switch to certain weapon, etc) and it works very nicely to have all the commands on one hand. the only gripe i have is that there is no easy way to pick up the mouse during use w/o clicking the extra axis buttons, and the rest of the mouse body is very slick

5 of 5 best mouse i have bought, thus far! Monday, September 15, 2008
    A Customer from Simsbury, CT
This thing is great once you learn how to use it! If you set it to 2000 (which is controllable on the mouse itself) you don't even really have to move your hand for the pointer to move all the way across the screen. love this thing. i don't do gaming, so i can't comment on that, but google earth is pretty damn sweet though!

4 of 5 Not Sure Yet Tuesday, September 02, 2008
    Jon from Conway, NH
Got this as I have a newborn, and being able to game while up holding him at night was appealing. It's possible, and will probably get easier with time, but the mouse is very high.. Either I take the rest off, and I can get a little more precision (using my hand to steady my movement on the desk)... Or I put the wrist rest on, and I can more easily reach the directional pad buttons.. Without the rest on, reaching them is a stretch unless you have long fingers. Also, I noticed I'd constantly find myself trying to push the mouse off the edge of the desk, even after I ramped up to max sensitivity.. All in all though a good mouse, just gonna take some getting used to.

    4 of 5 Almost perfect... Saturday, March 08, 2008
    A Customer from Whitestone, NY
I've been looking for a mouse like this for a while(I wanted something with more than just 2 button+scroll wheel+2 buttons on the side. This mouse comes close. The paddles themselves work as a 4 directional button(think game directional pad), but pressing them like buttons don't work. The plate that comes with this mouse is awkward, but it works great - if you tend to grip the mouse from the back, you can rest the bottom of your palm on the plate, and you get no resistance from the mousepad/desk surface, as the pads themselves glide with the mouse. With that said, one annoying thing is that when I start up my computer, the mouse sometimes sets itself to 2000 dpi, or 1600 dpi. The left 2 buttons seem to be hard-wired, there was no software control to disable those, and it's a bit odd that the mouse would shift dpi almost randomly during boot time. The customer support, when I inquired about this, told me to just press the 2 side buttons to reset the dpi setting. Weird. If There was a way to disable the hotkey for the dpi, it would be perfect. But... for now, there is the XG6.

2 of 5 Poor choice as keyboard replacement Saturday, July 07, 2007
    Joby Eapen from Redmond, WA
Very hard to move along the x, y and z axis and the mouse at the same time. Don't get intimidated by the video shown of the VisionTek website. The red buttons feel as though they are made of an easily wearable material. The mouse is now good to me only as an expensive laser mouse. I will definitely not buy it again.
