Don't worry - the old adage, "You get what you pay for" doesn't apply here. The CD-Rs worked without a glitch. My only complaint is that the discs don't have a label side. That is, both sides are silver, so it's hard to tell which side is the "recording side." However, even if you put the discs in upside-down, the computer will eject the disc for you.
