i did alot of searching before i picked the pc78xl. i could not find any negatives from anyone. what i did find was all positives and everyone was saying that this is the best radio in its class. i couldn't agree more. especially for the price from buy.com. i was a first time google checkout user so i saved an extra $10 on top of buy.com's price. for that price i knew i couldn't go wrong. this radio's send and recieve is so much clearer than the old midland radio that i replaced. the noise blanker, dynamic squelch control and the swr calibration features are great. in my opinion you can't go wrong.
