Great value for the features. Has a manual that is actually helpful (and not written in and not translated into English). Very easy to set up and access menus (mostly intuitive). LOVE the "phone to phone" intercom. You can even take them to the beach, it says. No base unit required. Beats every walkie-talkie my kids ever had.
Excellent sound quality (5.8 GHz is the key, I think).
Minor gripes: you can only set up distinctive ring tones for the handset, not the base (but you could turn off the base ringer, especially if your handest mostly lives on or near the base). And you can't vary the sound level of ringtones beyond "off/low/high" (base or handset). How hard would it have been to do that?
Would I buy this again? Sure. And $27.99 was a real steal. Was this review helpful?

This Uniden 5.8 GHz Dual Handset Cordless Phone system is a great deal. I bought two and now have all 4 handsets registered to one base, leaving a spare base if needed. System is packed with nearly every feature you would ever want or need for a single line digital answering system that supports up to 10 cordless handsets, yet easy to setup and learn the basics. Audio quality and volume range of the handset earpiece and built in speakerphones is excellent, same for the base station speakerphone. Room monitor and intercom capability a nice plus, too. As usual for buy.com refurbs these arrived fast and in near perfect condition. Was this review helpful?
