3 of 5 Great sound quality not so great fit... Monday, January 28, 2008 A Customer from Los Angeles CA
The sound quailty was great. The issue is that they stick out of your ears further than other high quality earbuds and don't stay in your ears while working out at the gym or walking around regardless of which eartip was used. Was this review helpful?

Theses headphones have very good sound quality, and the noise isolation is excellent. I was a little unsure about the $80 pricetag, but once I recieved them and put them on, I knew that I made the right decision. They are a little difficult to put in your ears at first, but just read the instructions, and try all of the silicon tips or the moldable foam tips. Very much worth the price, and highly recomended for music lovers who want to hear how their music how it should be heard. Was this review helpful?

I ordered the Ultimate Ears super-fi 3 Studio based on several reviews and recommendations. This is my first pair of real in-ear phones, having previously had a pair of Sony $30 sort of in-ears. Overall I am pleased. They are a little harder to get into the ear and sealed than I expected, but once in they are pretty secure. I like the stiff part of the wire right near the phones - this allows you to bend the wire around your ear and hold the phones in. Sound-quality is good, but doesn't blow you away. The bass is adequate at best. One great thing is they require much less power than regular ear buds - I have to turn my Zen Micro volume way down, which saves battery life. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Good value Monday, August 06, 2007 Jim from Columbus, Ohio
I am very happy with these ear phones. The sound quality is excellent once you select the right ear pieces to fit your ears and the noise isolation is very good also. I like the bendable wires that keep them comfortably in place on your ears. The cord could be a little bit longer, but they work fine for me as they are. The only complaint I have is that it is hard to easily tell the right from the left - they are marked, but the markings are small and kind of out of the way. Definitely recommended, especially for the price. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Excellent headphones for active people Friday, May 11, 2007 CJ from New York, NY
A pang of worry first struck me when I tried on these headphones. The music was canny and tinny. Then I switched up the ear pieces (the headphones come with four fittings) and pushed the headphones further in. Despite feeling like a smurf was trying to impregnate my inner ear canals, the music turned rich and clear. Even on the subway, the most I heard from the outside was a distant roar. My only other gripe other than the ear depth is the short cord length. I'm six foot and when I place my ipod in my pants pocket, the ipod's at the top of my pocket. But overall, a fantastic piece of equipment for an active audiophile. Gym, bike riding, whatever, the headphones stay on until I extract them. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Sound Blocking Headphones Thursday, April 05, 2007 A Customer from Stillwater, OK
Once you get these in your ears correctly you cannot hear all those annoying things like the phone ringing, the t.v. playing, nor, most wonderfully, your children arguing or whining! Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Big improvement over stock headphones Monday, March 12, 2007 Kevin from Skokie, IL
I got these as a replacement for my Ipod headphones, and they're a big improvement. They do have to be placed into your ear much farther than the ipod headphones, though. Not doing so results in almost no bottom-end. The sound is worth the extra effort, though. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Comfort first. Sunday, March 11, 2007 bf_kirton@yahoo.com from San Mateo, CA.
I needed ear buds that would not fall out on my bike ride. These fit fine. the innovative wire molds behind the ears for a custom fit. Sound reproduction is very good, not too bassy, which is my preference. Was this review helpful?

I was looking for a replacement for my Sony EX71 canal phones and from what reviews I have read, these were the best sounding and most reliable. Just a background on my Sony EX71 experience - I used and abused it, wearing it even to sleep. They were so comfortable, but guess what, the earphone sleeves and wires sorta disintegrate over time. Anyways, bring the UE Superfi's into the picture, they are real durable, with polycarbonate housing which I think is as close as indestructable as you can get, wires that you can replace when they start fraying and wonderful sound - I noticed things that I never previously heard while listening to Sting's Live "All this time" album and others as well. YOu might want to swap the ear pieces with the earphone marked L to the right and vise versa to get a better fit. Once you get a proper seal from the 5 pairs of custom fit earplugs, you'll be amazed at the sound. I can wear these phones all day long without much discomfort. However, if you sleep on your side, I found it painful and switched back to my Sony's. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Wonderful to enjoy every clear sound. Saturday, February 10, 2007 A B L Anderson from Albert Lea, MN
I thought these earphones with their different sizes of all in the ear boots are the best I may ever enjoy. I use my earphones to listen to music, and frequently sleep with my earphones in my ears, listening to my ipod. I don't want my music to overwhelm me. I believe good, great, wonderful music does not have to be loud and overwelming. Would I recommend them? Absolutely YES. Was this review helpful?
