5 of 5 Great Xbox 360 headset Monday, May 25, 2009
Steve from Va

I am very happy with the turtle beach X1 headset. It does everything that I wanted. My games sound great and I hear things that I never noticed before. In Gears of War 2 it is nice to hear someone plant a grenade from 20 feet away and have a good idea of where they put it just from the direction of the sound. Yet I can still hear some ambient sounds from the room around me. They are comfortable. They have separate controls for chat volume and game volume which makes a huge difference. The only two drawbacks are all of the long cables and the volume controls are very, very sensitive. This headset can be very loud and bass heavy so if you have them turned up high they will almost deafen you with the first explosion.

5 of 5 Excellent Value Thursday, May 14, 2009
Mike from Sterling Heights, MI
Very well made and great sound output. Wires are visable and long. If you can deal with wired headphones they are the best. I would highly recommend this product.

5 of 5 Great Product, Great Value! Sunday, March 15, 2009
A Customer from Jefferson City, MO
Being new to XBOX Live and the very uncomfortable headset that comes with the system, I knew I needed something more reasonable to wear for even short periods of time. The Turtle Beach Ear Force X1 headset was a great choice! Comfortable, easy to use, great sound, I find myself wearing them even when I am not logged into Live. I have a Sony 5.1 surround system that supplies great sound for movies and games, and I was suprised at how well the headset allowed me to up my game while playing first person shooters. I would recommend this product for individuals who are users of Live or for anyone wanting to not disturb the family when playing their favorite Xbox game!

5 of 5 Sound is amazing!! Friday, February 27, 2009
m from dallas pa
This is absolutely amazing. It's total surround sound while playing xbox. So much different from a wireless headset. The only thing that can be a nuisance is the wiring. I'd rather not have the wires across my floor since I have kids and animals....but so worth it for the quality.

5 of 5 A must have for anyone Wednesday, February 04, 2009
Dan from Halifax,PA
The turtle beach ear force headset is the best investment i have ever made. I have a 2 year old and a wife that will wake up to a pin drop and I love to game and watch TV late at night and the headset is great the sound quality is phenomenal 2 friends from work had recently purchased the same set after trying mine out. I was a little skeptical when reading through some reviews however i feel some people may have gotten a lemon device because my headset has been beat around a good bit in the time i have had it and I have had no complications the mic works great as well.

4 of 5 Awesome Headset! Happy So Far! Thursday, January 08, 2009
Forbidden76 from Canton, MI
Great headset. I can hear things now that I couldnt before with my 5.1 JBL surround system. It gets me "more into the game". The mic works well and Im surprised I can differentiate between when someone is behind me or in front of me in COD4. A must have to boost your score with FPS games. The one thing I wasnt happy with is all the wires that are used to hook up the headset to the XBOX360. All the wires are easy to hide though. Its hard to explain but you will see when you set it up. Overall Im glad with the purchase...

5 of 5 It scares away my sisters too! Great product!!! Sunday, January 04, 2009
koster74 (ME GAMERTAG) from chesterton, indiana
This product is great for gaming at night because you can mute your tv and still hear everything threw the headset. One default, way to many cords but would rather save 50 dollars then go wireless. The cord get tangled up pretty easily but i deal with that and long cords so you can walk around the room with the headset on so you don't have to take it off.

5 of 5 Helps you pick up chicks too... Saturday, November 22, 2008
NaTaS 1971 ( gamertag ) from port richey , florida
Not only can you hear better on COD4/5 , you will seem cooler to the ladies . Having these or any big a$$ headsets on your head attract the opposite sex not unlike the way Male peac*cks display their iridescent feathers for prospective female mates. Having a longer cord is great for playing on trips the the bathroom . You can go almost anywhere . If you have large ears you may find them uncomfortable after extended use . My cousin has the Earforce 4's and Ive compared them to these . The sound is almost the same . While there is more " definition " with the 200.00 set , these will satisfy most people looking for an edge . Also , no batteries to recharge ! I got these for 40.85 shipped with a small discount . Thats the best part . Thanks Buy.com !!

5 of 5 Good Headphones Wednesday, November 12, 2008
Michael from Tracy
Overall these headphones are very good for the price. There are a variety of other gaming headphones (from Turtle Beach as well as other companies) available that are also very good but they are so much more money; the X1's prove you don't need to pay a ton of money to still get great quality. I'm stunned by all of the sounds I completely missed from using only my TV speakers: you can hear people reloading, nearby footsteps, people changing weapons, people using the ladder/fast rope/rappel, etc (I use them mainly for R6V2). This headset has had quite a positive impact on my play, just because I can hear virtually everything and they allow me to focus on the game only, and not the outside world. Definitely worth the purchase.

4 of 5 Pretty Good Monday, November 10, 2008
John from Boston, MA
The headset works really well. The heartpounding bass adds a lot of suspense to FPS games. The cords a a bit of an annoyance. If you don't have the money for a wireless headset the performance is the same and will work just as good as a wireless one.

5 of 5 A must for Late Night Gaming Friday, November 07, 2008
L Knight from CA
This headset plus mic is perfect for the late night Xbox 360 experience. Easy to use, didn't even look at the instructions to plug in, I was able to plug in and play within 4 mins of trying to open the hard to deal with plastic packaging. It was a big change from how I usually play late night. I used to play with just regular headphones, but wouldn't be able to chat with other gamers online. Or, I played with the sound real low while wearing the original headset that comes with. But being able to blast the headset sound through my ears and chat at the same time was a welcome to my ears. The sound is crisp/clear, I can hear everything I want to, either listen to the other gamers talk or can drone them out through the sound of the game, which is perfect cuz I don't need to hear them all the time. Also, they are very comfortable. I can sit for up to maybe 3 hours without feeling a thing of discomfort because they wrap all the way around both ears. The cords are way too long though. I thought they were 6 ft not 16 ft, but I guess they were made for those with huge projection screens in a movie theater. Other than that, the headsets work perfect and are a must for someone looking for a late night or in a non disturb type environment.

1 of 5 Great Sounds/Bad Voice chat Saturday, June 21, 2008
A Customer from Miami Fl
The game sounds from this headset are great rich tones and bass, but it overpowers the other players voices and makes it very hard to play W.O.W.Comfort is another issue after about 1hr of playing my ears are very sweaty and very uncomfortable, going to return these and try the Razer - Piranha Stereo Gaming Headset (Model: RZ04-00080100 )hopefully i will have better luck with these.

5 of 5 Great headphones, too many cords Wednesday, November 28, 2007
Devin Night from Columbus, OH
Bought these for my Xbox 360. The quality is outstanding. They are comfortable and sound great, I hear things I never heard before while playing. The one drawback is the number of cords it takes to make them work with the xbox 360 controller. I have seen their cordless headset and next time I will get those. But if wireless is not a factor, these are a great value.

5 of 5 Perfect for night gaming Monday, July 23, 2007
A Customer from oklahoma city oklahoma
I bought these bc I love playing games loud to really be immersed in the gameplay. That is pretty hard to do at 2am when you live in an apartment complex without making alot of people very angry. I do alot of research before I buy anything and ended up buying these. I talked to alot of people that had the 5.1 gaming headsets and i just heard too many problems with them and not a huge advantage over these. Long story short I love them. I can easily hear someone sneaking up behind me when playing a game of halo 2, or I can play some oblivion and still blare the awesome soundtrack and not disturb anyone.

5 of 5 Great Headset Tuesday, July 17, 2007
A Customer from Pennsylvania
This headset is a great headset. Extremely comfortable to wear, way more comfortable than the Microsoft Xbox 360 Headset. Very easy to setup and get started. Very long cable length in case you need it, and if you don't, the main cable has a nice elastic band to keep it bunched up. This headset focuses more on the game audio instead of the chat. Voices sound like they are being played out of the speakers with slightly better quality. If you looking for just a chat headphone, get the Microsoft Xbox 360 Headset. The sub woofer in these headphones will literally rock your ears. It would be nice to have a switch to turn it on and off. If you want a headset that combines game audio and chat at a great prices, the Turtle Beach X1's are definitely the way to go. Definitely worth every penny, especially with Buy.com's low price and FREE shipping. Great overall product.
