I only bought this because I secured my WiFi network with WPA2 and TiVo requires that you use their WiFi Network Adapter, not another brand, when using WPA2 encryption on a WiFi network. Regardless, it works perfectly.

Works Perfectly! Just as advertised. I unpackaged the unit, plugged it in and my TIVO recognized it immediately. I was networked in no time. What more could you ask for? I had a great experience with BUY.com.

I updated my router and needed this to use the newer security standards. Adapter set up quickly and has a great connection. Plus, the cord included with it is long enough that the adapter can be set up high for an even better connnection.

This product worked great and was easy to install. I wish I had realized that I needed TIVO HD or Series 3 to access Netflix but that isn't the fault of the equipment. The price for this item was much less than in the store and made it comparable to other wireless which were not fully compatible.

What a deal. TiVo wants $100.00 more for this item directly from them. I don't know how buy.com is getting this deal, but it was sweet. If you intend to use wpa or wpa2 encryption on your wifi network, TiVo says you have to have this exact adapter. That's why I bought it. No problems installing and setting it up, but then again, I read instructions. I can't speak for people who don't.

What could be easier than plug and play? If you have a wireless network at home it will take you about 3 minutes to set this Tivo Ag0100 wireless device up and have it going. This is my second one as I have two Tivo units; the first one I bought several years ago and it has worked flawlessly ever since. One more thing; the cost of this unit from Buy.Com is very low, making it affordable for all.

A great product. Included instructions are clear and well written. It connected to my TIVO with no problem and connected me to my home network with very little effort. Of course, the overall transaction with BUY.COM was effortless as well. Just what I've come to expect from this great web site!!

In the package there is a setup brochure - open and read it. It took all the better of five minutes to get it going. Actually it took longer to remember and add its MAC to my router's access list than it did to set it up on the Tivo side. Using WPA2-PSK AES

A bit pricier than some alternatives, but no worry about possible compatibility issues. Cable allows some positioning flexibility. Good signal strength. I re-booted TiVo during install - solid connection since (~1 month)

Product works flawlessly, and once installed, its nearly forgotten. Actual install time was less than 10 minutes, much of that time was spent looking for my network password. My signal strength has never dropped below 90%. Well worth the price. Buy.com had it at my door less than a week after initial order. Save $$$ and skip the retailer or tivo website, order here!

The adapter quickly installed. It was simple to enter my Wifi security info, and the connection was made. It has worked without intervention since then and allows the Tivo broadband services to work as described. I recommend this product. And as usual, buy.com was flawless and fast with free delivery. Definitely beats paying a premium to go to Best Buy.

If you have found this review then you have found the cheapest place to buy this unit. It is ridiculous that the major retailers charge full boat ($69) for this device. Setup is a breeze. Connectivity is excellent! It is as good as my previously wired connection! Netflix streams without a burp with FIOS 20/5MB plan! Programing Tivo over the web via PC, iPhone(i.TV which is one super and free App) works as you would expect it to, and as described. If you purchase it you will also be purchasing on of the most "solid" feeling pieces of technology available today for what it is. Well done Tivo! Now, if we could only get Tivo to price their boxes and service in line with the current economy? Hello Tivo?

I originally planned to run a network cable to the living room, which wouldn't have been too much trouble, but when I added up all of the items I would need, including a modular wall jack and cat 5 cable, I would have spent $60 and 2-3 hours. The Tivo website had this adapter priced much higher, but Buy.com's $39 price was great. The adapter attaches to the USB port on the Tivo with the supplied cable. The Tivo recognizes it immediately, and connecting it to the network is very easy. I've downloaded some YouTube and MusicChoice videos and some video from my PC, and it's fairly quick. I haven't tried downloading an entire movie, so I can't say how well that would work or how long it would take.

Tivo has kind of screwed us all by making their newer boxes to REQUIRE their proprietary, Tivo-branded network adapter. So if you want to network your Tivo, please don't reward them buy paying full price, especially at their (tivo.com) website. Buy.com, at least for now, is the best place I've found to buy it, and at the best price. *** Works great. The exact same device you'd buy from Tivo, but for a lot less money. I returned the one I bought at Best Buy, because it cost $30 more (plus tax) than the one I bought from buy.com.

I am pleased with this product. I had concerns at first because it took multiple tries to get my Tivo to update completely. It would only get part of the data it needed to function properly. After a few updates and restarts everything is in good working order. My TIVO no longer needs a land line. I received the adapter in the mail quickly and set up was a snap.

I was looking for a wireless adaptor for my TIVO unit and was thrilled when I spotted this one. Earlier I had ordered one from another vendor and the technical specs were not detailed enough for me to know that it would only work with a PC. I connected this adaptor to the TIVO and it has worked brilliantly from day one.

Extremely easy setup, mostly due to TiVo DVR Software. Appears to be very strong Adapter picking up networks that I did not even know were available in my neighborhood and did not appear listed using another Wireless Adapter that I had. I have a Netgear Router and was told by TiVo support that this would not work; but it was not a problem at all. Wish I had done this long ago. Much better than using a phone line to do updates and downloads for TiVo.

Had it hooked up and working within 10 mins. Replaced the phone line I was using which would take several attempts to download information. This device allows me to do it within minutes. No need to monitor it. Great product!

This TiVo wireless adapter replaced a Linksys adapter that was only wireless B. I am using it with the Toshiba SD-H400 unit that combines a DVD player with a Tivo unit. The Tivo unit is running Tivo Basic software (which is free for the lifetime of the unit), software version 9.3. This adapter connects my Tivo to my home wireless network using WPA-PSK TKIP security, with a dynamically assigned IP address. This fixed the WEP-only security "hole" that existed with the Linksys adapter, which was my main reason for the switch. An added side benefit is that program guide information now of course downloads to the Tivo much faster.

This is my second time buying a tivo adapter from ebay ,I worked with my server and tivo for two days trying to get it to work and I found out the tivo adapter was broke .I had to buy another one and so I bought one from Buy.com , when I plugged it in i was very happy to see it worked in about 10 seconds .I am very happy with how fast it got here and it worked great . Worked right out of the box, adds a lot of functionality to TiVo. Though its a pain TiVo requires you to use their wireless adapter and cant use a cheaper alternative. You'd think it would be built in with newer Tivos but its not either. Anyway, great purchase to really take full advantage of your Tivo.

I ordered this TiVo wireless adapter, to replace a broken Linksys adapter that was only wireless B. I had tried a Linksys Wireless G adapter years ago, but it didn't work. I decided to try the TiVo adapter, since it was on sale on Buy.com. It was a great find! Worked out of the box on my new HD TiVo. I decided to try it on my old Toshiba TiVo, and it worked on that as well. Getting the wireless G made a HUGE difference. Going from 11 meg to 54 meg was a MUCH bigger improvement that I had ever expected. It allowed me to watch movies as soon as I started a transfer. Before, I had to wait for an hour to start watching a movie. I will say that I'm not sure I would pay full price if all I was doing was downloading the channel guide, so think about what you need the adapter for. I use it to transfer content between TiVo's so it makes a huge difference for me.

adapter was easy to set up right out of the box, works excellent with home network. it also gave me access to multiple additional features on tivo which i did not have access to previously. would highly recomment product if you have high speed internet.

I used to have a Linksys WUSB12 for downloading video to Tivo TOGO on my desktop for transfer to my portable video player, the download speed was SO SLOW it will sometime take 12 hrs to download 4hrs of video, and often will crash the TivoToGo app. I have just installed this Tivo made unit, i downloaded 6hrs of video in less then 3hrs!!!! If you are one of the early users of Tivo to go with the old Linksys USB wireless adapter, get this one....it incredible!

It works well. Pretty easy to use though if you know NOTHING about networking you might get a bit confused (which would happen with any other adaptor also) But the important thing is this is the ONLY wireless adaptor for the TIVO which supports WPA security. From what I understand with any other adaptor the best you can do is WEP which is not very safe in today's environment. This one costs a bit more than others that will work but if you are concerned about security (and who isn't?), this is the one for you.

Worked as soon as I plugged it in the back of TiVo. Recognized by the TiVo Box and Toast's TiVo Transfer right away. The configuration on the TiVo screens to integrate this with my new wireless home network went easily and flawlessly. If you want to burn your favorite shows to disk...this is a great product to help get you there. (You will also need software for your computer, available for both Macs and PCs...as well as a disk burner.)

Using this adapter couldn't get any easier. Simply plug it in! I have two of these - one on an older Toshiba Series 2 TiVo/DVD player combo, and one on a Series3 HD. After plugging in, go to connection settings, choose your network, enter your network key (if your network is encrypted) and that's it. Just wish it was included with all the TiVos or at least less expensive.

I purchased the Tivo wireless adaptor about 1 month or so ago and I just LOVE IT! I have been wanting one for quite awhile, but didn't want to pay the full price on the Tivo site. I purchased the adaptor and thought it would be a week or so before I received it, but it arrived in just a couple days. I hooked it up and it connected effortlessly. I haven't even used all its options yet, but I love the little extras it gives you (games, weather, etc.). I look forward to putting it to full use. I highly recommend this item.

I had tried to find the other wireless adapters that are listed on TiVo's website as being compatible and was less than successful. I was able to find adapters that were close in their sku's and I tried three to no avail. I finally bit the bullet and paid a little more for the TiVo branded adapter and lo and behold it works PERFECTLY! There was no hassle in hooking it up and my TiVo recognized it instantly. The reception is GREAT as I found I was not only able to pick up my LAN but received the signals of others at great range (suburban/rural area). Definitely worth purchasing if you want to connect to your wireless network without any hassles.

Pros: Easy to set-up, works acceptably well. Cons: Less signal strength than my laptop resulting in slower down/uploads. I read a bunch of reviews prior to purchasing my TiVo and wireless network adapter. Some of them criticized the signal strength when using non-TiVo adapters that resolved with the TiVo brand one. So, I purchased this one since it doesn't cost much different than any others. I have now had it for 3 months and I can say that it works just fine. I have not had any problems. My signal strength is usually between 50-60%. Not that great, but considering I live in a duplex/twin house and my router is 2 stories above and on the opposite side of the house from my TiVo, I'm willing to accept it. I do notice, however, that my laptop never drops below "good" on signal strength. The only other thing I want to mention is that once the firmware is updated (I have a TiVo TCD649080 Series 2 box) it was fairly easy to set up the TiVo to access my wireless network including using WEP-PSK security.

I have TWO of these, one for each TiVO DVR in my home. With this adapter both of my TiVO's can talk to each other, swap programs, download info from the Tivo service over my broadband connection, so the boxes do not have to "dial up" over the phone lines. I can't say enough about this wonderful adapter. ONLY DRAWBACK is the price, you can get wireless-G network adapters for less and they will do the exact same thing. However I thought it would be cool to the have the TiVO branded adapter sitting on top of the TiVO box. If price is an issue buy any generic wireless-G adapter, it will do the same thing.

There was almost no effort involved with setting up and using this little adapter. The TiVo called for a network password but really wanted the network encryption key (a problem with the TiVo, not the adapter) Works great! A little bit on the pricey side but there definitely will not be any compatibility issues with it.

This is a must have if you subsribe to TiVo! This item along with a Linsky wireless router makes transfers to and from the computer extremely easy. I can save recorded programs on my new Seagate 360GB external USB hard drive or use my TV as a big digital picture frame. I love my TiVo!!!

I have had TiVo for a few years now and have had other less expensive adapters to make them network capapble. However, it was always a hassle to find just the right ones that were compatible. I ended up returning and exchanging until the right ones were found. So, when one needed to be replaced, I decided to go with the TiVo brand adapter and it was worth the extra pennies! No muss, No fuss. And it looks cool too.

Tried a third party solution to save a couple of bucks, with no luck. Got the official TIVO device and it works fine with my broadband router driving two TVs, printer, two Mac laptops and a PC laptop. Life is good.
