A resin band and buckle clasp ensure a steadfast fit. For further practicality, a day-date-and-month calendar is also included, and the watch can be adjusted for three time zones. This is actually my second Timex. First one still works good, just wanted another for backup. I bought the first one because I needed a watch, and was intrigued by it being able to remotely control an ipod. It works great. I use it when I'm in the jacuzzi to control my ipod, which is hooked up to a Cambridge Soundworks speaker. I can control volume and got to next or previous tracks w/o getting out of the jacuzz. I keep forgetting that iPhone is not iPod. I bought this to control my iPhone only to realize it was designed for the iPod. That being said, it does work pretty well with the iPhone, all things considered. First, since it wasn't designed for iPhone, when you plug in the receiver, you get a popup reminding you of that fact and asking if you want to turn on Airplane Mode. Just say No. Second, plugging in the receiver appears to route the stereo output to the earphones. Not the ringer output, just the stereo output. Third, you need to plug in the earphones before the Timex adapter. Once you've done all that, it does do a pretty good of controlling the iPod portion of the iPhone. And for the price, it's a pretty good deal. Was this review helpful?
