Bought this because it looks the best out of anything that's out that out there. When it came in, it was REALLY solid looking. Didn't get to open it so I don't really know how well it works, but the the receiver of the gift says he enjoys it. Hope this helps.

The headline is a statement from my son. I am 35 year old male and kinda like the Star Wars moral setup. We did not purchase them for the game though. My wife and I wanted the our son (mature 8 year old)to simply have fun with them and the cost was right. We purchased about 2 weeks before Christmas and they (sabers) arrived in time. I pretested them using rechargable batteries (a must around our house) and left them in the sabers to play upon opening his gift. The Sabers are suprisingly well lit and look very nice in low light and are really fun fun in total darkness having a glowing tracing effect when swung around quickly. My son and I have played with the dull old plastic sabers to which are very durable compared to these but you have to keep in mind that these are not supposed to be used to smack the other opponent or saber very hard. :) I like to play too (inmature 35 year old-to some) I would value at around $30.00 (pair) Bulb change is uncertain but probably interchangable to a Luxeon 3 watt for four times light output for that, "I would probably lose my hand if I touched it." real saber look. The lit saber piece is only about 15" long but again was designed for the game and indoor play. Power buttons I wish was either recessed or not so prone to turn off/on so easily. Plastica-Not bad alround design for price paid, was very pleased with purchase. Recommendations: Use rechargable batteries "AA" 2500ma. (techy mod)Replace bulb with a Luxeon type for that KA feature.

These light up very nicely. My children have really enjoyed playing them with the Wii. They do get a little bulky after a while but are still fun.

Overall- Bought this pack for a Christmas present to 9 & 12 year olds. Almost bought the others on the market, but saw these online and thought they looked the 'coolest' and most realistic. Many others only use 1 LED light in the saber, which doesn't show in normal room light. These Thrustmaster's use about 25 LEDs all the way up the saber, so the colors show really well. Assembly- Directions are accurate and the pieces fit together well. I recommend reading the assembly directions. The adults tried to assemble them without reading directions and couldn't make the pieces fit right. All was fine after reading.

My son thinks they are cool. He would not love the game nearly as much without these light sabers. My husband thinks the game works better without them. I have to say they are a must for kids who love star wars and love playing with light sabers.

The lightsabers LOOK really cool. They actually make it look like you're playing with a very short lightsaber. However, it's much easier to play the game without them.

These look awesome! However, they are a bit hard and cumbersome to use at first. They are bigger than the light bulb on a stick kind, so the kids will need more room. Also to get them to respond correctly they have to stand back a little, too. My kids only use them half of the time because it's just easier (and less tiring) to play with just the wii-mote (so don't be upset if yours do the same). That said, if you want to get the full on "Wow! Mom/Dad this is the coolest thing ever!" then these are a must.

I thought these would be super cool to play along with Clone Wars and it probably would have been BUT my room is just a little too small for these. They are long and we learned that you have to make pretty big movements to make them work so what we learned is that our room just doesn't work. My kids all enjoyed the Clone Wars much better just using the Wii remote.

The company was fast & efficient and the lightsabers are great. My 6 yr old grandson never puts them down, with or without the Wii.

It's about time these came out. Awesome. The thrustmaster Wii remote saber is much better than some of the other reviews I've read about them. I am glad I took the chance and got them. The slip on sleve you hear people talk about is just for looks in the package, not for game play. DUH! The sabers glow one Red and one Blue even with the lights on! Nice! Only thing I can say bad about them is they cover the wiimotes IR pointer but so do all the other versions I have seen on the market. They look like lightsabers and are a little larger/longer than I thought they would be(thats a good thing). Their not like the little crapy white no detail handled ones most stores are selling. It's well worth getting if you want an add on that looks like your favorite star wars saber and not just a light bulb stuck on the end of your wiimote. Too fun!!!

I have 2 boys that are absolute Star Wars freaks, more so than I and my brothers were growing up with Star Wars. I can't wait to see the look on my boys eyes Christmas morning. These lightsabers look more authentic than any of the other Wii lightsaber packs. The details on the handles are superb. My boys will have tons of fun playing their Wii lightsaber game with these lightsaber attachments.
