Three Lions Roar: A Novel of World Cup 2006

Imagine a Sunday night championship match with the underdog U-12 boy's team pulling away with a 2-0 victory. Or how about a Champions League final with the underdog team Liverpool, after being down 3-0, coming back to win it all in a shootout?

Whatever the circumstance, whoever the opponent, Three Lions Roar pays tribute to just that: The underdogs! We have all lived it, whether it was watching the World Cup final or just playing a pick up game. We have all felt it, the feeling of rising up to the occasion when all obstacles are in your way, and nobody believes it can be done.Achieving the impossible!

For all of you who get goose bumps every time you grab a beer and discuss your old glory days, this book is dedicated to you. Wonderfully constructed, my former football coach, Umut Ozturk, gives us play-by-play of a nation's race towards glory and England's hope of winning a World Cup.

Bulut Ozturk,
USSF 'C" Licence Football* Coach

It's also called 'Soccer" in America.

5 of 5 Josh Roark is going to be the Harry Potter of the Monday, July 31, 2006
A Reader from London, UK

Every once in a while history tends to give us amazing characters we cannot separate ourselves from. With Clark Kent we watched the great powers of Superman. With Peter Parker we had the chance to witness the great adventures of Spider-man. Of course, with Harry Potter we lived his unbelievable journey as a wizard. In his book, "Three Lions Roar," Umut Ozturk writes of a super hero who saves England through his play of football at the World Cup. He is a gentleman, a father and a captain of the greatest football country of the world. He is Josh Roark, pride of England. He is an amazing footballer, who leads his country back to top of the football throne in 2006 World Cup as a goalkeeper. His journey will thrill the reader every four years with the start of the new World Cup. In 2006 we witnessed Josh Roark as a goalkeeper carrying his team to the title game like Superman, saving his team from the brink of elimination again and again. In 2010 we will witness him as the leader of a football hungry nation who will give his team a chance to repeat as a World Cup winner. In 2016 Roark will change his position from goalkeeper to forward and show his Harry Potter like wizardry with a football. Josh Roark will lead England to an unlikely accomplishment of becoming one of the only teams ever to win the World Cup three times in a row. Yes, Josh Roark is going to be the Harry Potter of the football world. He is ready for the football world. But are you? "Three Lions Roar," is a story of Josh Roark. With him Three Lions roar and roar again.
