There are cheaper Linksys or D-link IP cameras, but problematic with configuration or reliability. On the higher end, those that cost $600 don't really add that much. Perhaps panning and tilting, but any motion mechanism cuts into reliability and, if you run it on a battery pack for true mobility, battery life. Another factor for my decision is the small footprint and white color. It comes with good mounting accessories.
Cons:
The lens is tiny with blurring patches for both cameras I got. Video encryption only happens in wireless transmission (WPA). No battery solution provided, and the adapter and cord are both black.
