    1 of 5 Bad Cable Friday, June 26, 2009
R McNeill from League City, Texas

It maybe the best product in the world, I would not know since one of the cables was no good. And now thanks to the great return process, it maybe more then 10 days until I get the replacement.

5 of 5 Make sure you have 2.0 USB ports Wednesday, May 06, 2009
    A Customer from Salina, Kansas
I bought this product believing that it was best for my needs based upon the fact that I use a USB mouse and keyboard. It has worked very well for me, except for some problems with my older computer that has mostly 1.0 USB ports and not the neccessary 2.0. I have adapted with some online advice, but still occasionally get the "USB not recognized" error and everything freezes on me. If I would have realized this would be a problem I would have bought the PS2 port switch. My mistake. Otherwise, the switch is a plug and play device and has been extremely easy to use when it works for me. I recommend it to anyone with an updated computer.

4 of 5 Great for sharing a monitor, no speaker sharing - Wednesday, May 06, 2009
    Ron Burgandy from Charlotte, NC
This Trendnet switch simply has a hot/cold switch for power to one of two computers that are run through this TK-207K switch kit. The biggest feature lacking I never thought of until after the fact is that there is no speaker sharing capabilities. If you have a great pair of computer speakers this switch has no way to link the speakers through it to utilize with whichever computer is selected. It is easy to set up and the switch from one computer to the other is immediate. I just wish they built a speaker port into the switch! I ran a USB sound card through a USB port on the switch and the sound quality stinks, but that is a possible low quality work around.

    5 of 5 Great Product Tuesday, May 05, 2009
    A Customer from Waterford, MI
This switch is so handy to have. I have a netbook that I take to my meetings and when reviewing everything I can hook it up with the KVM switch to my flat screen. Works very well with my wireless keyboard and mouse.

5 of 5 Works for me Monday, April 06, 2009
    A Customer from Buffalo, NY
Everything went fine and it works as I had hoped. Only thing is be sure you move control away from the computer you shut down or you have to use a manual button on the unit to switch. Once one computer is off, keyboard control is lost.

5 of 5 Great. Easy to install and use. Thursday, March 12, 2009
A Customer from Candor, New York
I replaced a KVM switch of the same company that was at least 8 years old so I trusted the name. Never had a problem with the old one except it was getting dirty. and I thought It's time was up. Still worked good.

5 of 5 Kvm Switch Rocks Tuesday, February 03, 2009
    A Customer from Ansonia, Connecticut
I have a desktop pc and a laptop of which I share an ACER 22' lcd flat screen. The setup was simple and quick. I now can switch between them both simutaneously. For the price and ease of which it works, you can not go wrong. I would definitely promote this product to other users without a doubt. BTW, the resolution is not lost at all. I currently run a web based game on the laptop and the resolution is in 32 bit mode and 1680x1400 resolution .... not a glitch !! Buy.com was great and the product showed up at my door step in 3 days !!! Buy.com you rock !!! :) TY!!

    5 of 5 Too easy Wednesday, November 26, 2008
Rick S from Big Bear City, CA
Easiest KVM setup I have ever done...and with only 2 connections to the PC! The KVM cable piggybacks mouse & keyboard through one USB connection to the PC, saving ports for other items. Connected an XP box and a Vista box -- neither had any problems and there was nothing to install.

5 of 5 Great deal- Compact unit Wednesday, October 08, 2008
    Steve G from Pleasanton, CA
Nice unit, and more compact than the ones I see for $30 or more at electronics stores. Came with all cables and works great. I just have to make sure I specify the cheapest shipping next time I buy something.

4 of 5 Works on all but main system Monday, October 06, 2008
A Customer from New Orleans, LA
The switch works great with my spare computers, but throws up a "Generic USB Hub" device installation wizard on my main system that it can't resolve. I'll have to try it with a live CD to rule out hardware problems. A system rebuild is probably in order since the same system has a Bluetooth USB dongle in love with one particular usb port (it isn't even recognized on the other ports).

5 of 5 USB KVM works great Monday, October 06, 2008
    A Customer from Boston, MA
I have tried older PS2-type KVMs, and often had problems. This one just plugged in, and worked. Switching is reasonably fast; sometimes takes a couple seconds for keyboard/mouse to start working. No audio on this one, but I didn't need it for two servers.

    A Customer from Denver CO
I have been using this for 1 day only and I have a got a windows Xp box and Ubuntu box. I haven't had any problems with it. I also love the fact that you can switch between two machines using the keyboard (scrlk + scrlk). That really was a very pleasant surprise.

5 of 5 First KVM and very impressed.... Tuesday, May 06, 2008
    Alan from Chelsea, AL
I was very nervous about buying a KVM since I did not know what to expect. This KVM got good reviews so I took a change on it and have been very pleasantly surprised. Setup was virtually non existant...hardest part was crawling under my desk to run cables. I paid $20 for this so I'd say the value compared to some of the more expensive KVMs is excellent. I don't know what the others do that would warrant a much more expensive price but it'd be hard to convince me to not buy another one of these. I have a wireless keyboard and mouse that use 1 USB connection to connect to the computer and was impressed that the KVM did not have any issues recognizing both through 1 input.

5 of 5 Great KVM for the price Tuesday, April 29, 2008
    terriblecow from Boise, ID
This KVM delivered for me. My wife no longer has to switch monitor cables to use her computer when I'm on the road. Works great on my 24 inch 1920X1200 resolution screen. I also plugged a USB hub into one USB port so it'll switch any USB device instead of only mouse and keyboard. I also liked the cables that were included as they reduce the desk clutter. For the price I'm not sure you can get anything close.

    5 of 5 Works Great Monday, April 28, 2008
    A Customer from Allentown, PA
I bought this to replace a PS2 switch I had been using on my bench when repairing PC's. Seems most newer machines no longer use the PS2 ports. This works fine and suits my needs just great. Sure beats unplugging cables or having two of each on the bench taking up space.

    5 of 5 Works like a charm !!! Thursday, April 24, 2008
    A Customer from Vienna, VA
I bought this for home. It needed extremely simple setup, and works perfectly well between my PowerMac-G4-OSX and a PC-UbuntuLinux ... I decided to use my Mac USB Keyboard and Mouse, so I guess I miss out on the "hot key" functionality and use the switch buttons instead. Other than that, this has been working really well so far. Of course, BUY.COM shipping rocks - I ended up receiving the product the next day itself! :-)

    5 of 5 It works !!! Tuesday, March 25, 2008
    Sam from Bethlehem, PA
What can I say, connect all the cables, and it works!!! I am sharing a flat panel monitor, USB keyboard, and USB mouse, between a desktop and a Thinkpad laptop. No problems. The four foot cables were a little challenge, but I was able to position things where they would reach. Six foot cables would have been nicer.

I have several different switches of this type. This is the easiest of all to set up and use. In all fairness the others are PS2 and this is USB, but it is a snapt to setup and use.

5 of 5 Great for the price! Thursday, January 24, 2008
    JasonM from San Diego, CA
I'm using this with a PowerMac G4 Tower and a generic Windows XP box at work. Worked perfectly as soon as it was set up. Plusses: All-in-one video/USB cable (cuts down on the clutter), No external power supply required (I've seen other KVMs which require a power brick), Inexpensive. Just one complaint - because of the placing of the USB ports on the Front of the box, the keyboard and mouse cables end up sticking out. It would have been a cleaner design to have these on the right side of the box.

    5 of 5 Great product Wednesday, January 16, 2008
    A Customer from Chicago, IL
This isn't a fancy device, but it does exactly what it's supposed to. Small enough that you can bury it behind the desk. Easy to switch between computers with a couple taps of the scroll lock key on your keyboard. I'm using it with a wireless USB keyboard/mouse with no problems. Great value with the included cables.

5 of 5 Easy To Use Thursday, September 27, 2007
    A Customer from Tucson, AZ
I bought this based off the other reviews. It was exactly what I needed, easy to install and easy to use. I have a laptop and a desktop connected with this to one monitor, keyboard and mouse. With the push of a single button I can go between computers. First one I found with usb connectors so I could use with the laptop.

5 of 5 Not perfect... but who is? Tuesday, July 10, 2007
    A Customer from Logan, UT
I bought TRENDnet's KVM switch with PS/2 connectors and was very happy with it, which is why I decided to buy this product when it was time to upgrade. I only have one complaint, which is that there is slight ghosting, but only when both computers are on and only enough to tell if you're reading text or something similar with high contrast. Movies and games still look fine in the same situation. As far as delay time when switching, the guy that complained about it must not be familiar with the usual delay that KVM switches have. This product performs very similarly to other brands of KVM switches. There is a slightly longer delay with this than my PS/2 KVM, but that's because it takes a little longer for USB devices to disconnect from one computer and connect to the next. This isn't a design flaw in the switch, that's just how USB devices work. All in all, this is a great product at a great price.

4 of 5 Easy setup, slow to switch Thursday, April 05, 2007
A Customer from Mill Valley, CA
Plug everything in and it goes. But because the USB devices are "removed" and "added" via Windows each time you switch, swapping between devices takes a few seconds, unlike my old PS/2 KVM switch which was super fast.

I bouhgt for my office computers requiring many keyboards and mouses to save space. I tried to switch server using Linux and client PC using windows OS but unable to switch from server to pc using scroll key, instead connect 2 pc computers using windows os by scroll Lk key easily. Thus it saved office desk space ,mouse and keyboard.I emailed to Trendnet support tech team about my problem 1 week ago so far no return answer, feel poor support from trendnet co.Overall very good product to use for the price. I will buy it again if Ineeded.

5 of 5 Simple install. Works perfectly. Wednesday, March 14, 2007
    A Customer from Audubon, PA
The installation went smoothly on two PC with Windows XP Pro: one laptop and one desktop. This works exactly as I'd expect it to do. Almost all of the KVM switches with similar features were about twice as much as this switch. One issue I had with it is that the knuckle joining the two cables could have been a little higher. The laptop has the monitor and USB port on opposite sides. There's no way this would have fit on a laptop with a 17" screen with that type of configuration. It barely fit on my 15.4" screen and that was after wrestling with it a little. Sure, I could have bought an extension for the USB cable or cut the knuckle, but I'm too cheap and lazy.

5 of 5 Great Product and Reasonable Price! Wednesday, March 07, 2007
    Julius from Chicago, IL
I bought this KVM switch after I previously purchased from a different vendor and had to return it. I use a Dell bluetooth keyboard/mouse with only 1 USB adapter receiver. It didn't properly work with the previous KVM switch. Only the keyboard worked and not the mouse. It might be because the switch has a separate USB port for connecting the keyboard and mouse. The TrendNet KVM switch didn't have this problem. It is working well with my Dell bluetooth keyboard/mouse. I plugged the USB adapter in the USB keyboard port and both are working. Now I can easily switch between my WinXP and Vista computers. I strongly recommend this product! Thanks Buy.com!

    4 of 5 Good Value Wednesday, February 28, 2007

Good value. Works as expected. The only problem is that I notice my screen "waving" a bit when I move my mouse while set at a high screen resolution (16880x1050) @60Hz. Not enough to make me send it back but it is a bit annoying.

I was dubious, but this thing works flawlessly. Quickly bounces back and forth between machines and within a couple seconds the mouse and keyboard are working. Just hooking up all the cables was the worst part, everything else just worked without any help from me.

5 of 5 reliable KVM switch Thursday, February 08, 2007
    Felix Lu from Durham, NC
I have two of these switches now and have used them for several motnhs. They are simple to install (just plug everything in) and work well with my laptop (fujitsu Lifebook) and a desktop (Dell optima something). The only complaint is a lack of an extra USB port for print sharing. The foot print, after all the cables have been plugged in is somewhat larger than you might expect, close to 10 inches by inches (due to stiffness of cables) and no wall mounting holes are provided.

I needed to replace my old PS2 KVM switch due to a PC upgrade. I picked this product due to price. It was simple to install and has worked without problems. Everything you need (cables, etc) is included in the box. I would recommend this device.

4 of 5 sinple, easy to use and setup KVM switch Monday, January 29, 2007

I have two of these TrendNet USB KVM switches. They are easy to use, don't need a separate power cable and extremely simple to set up. The only thing I could complain about is a lack of a separate USB port to serve as a hub for a shared printer. Other than that, it's been working great. I've had one of these for about a month now, and the second one for a week - no problems so far. I haven't had a chance to compare these to other KVM switches so I can't say this one is necessarily better.

5 of 5 Works,, but with delay Monday, November 13, 2006

This KVM is compact, simple to set up, and well finished. It can be controlled by a button, the ScrLk button, or a custom keystroke you set up. Nice. But when I first installed it, I was ready to send it back. It didn't see the keyboard or one of the monitors. But as I was sitting there fuming, after about 10 minutes one by one the functions started to work. Now it works fine -- unusual for a KVM -- although when I switch computers it sometimes is very quick but sometimes takes about 1 min to complete the switch.

5 of 5 Great little product Friday, October 13, 2006

Great product, works exactly as advertised. You need to be aware that it does require USB to be plugged in, or it won't function. I got it as a monitor switch, as I have wireless K&M on my home computer and wanted to use the monitor for my laptop as well. Without the power from the USB (to power USB K&M in most set ups) it can't electronically switch or mime for the non-diplayed computer. It is all very logical, but took me a couple minutes before the "Ah Ha" to plug in one of the USBs to one of the computers. It would be nice for it to have a couple of mounting holes on the bottom to attach to a wall or side of the desk. It is so light that any movement of the cables (attaching detaching my laptop computer) moves it around. One other minor annoyance for me was the length of cables. I have only my monitor, wireless K&M and this switch on my desk, so I needed extensions to reach the desktop situated elsewhere. The monitor and USB cable extensions cost as much or more than the switch. But I knew this before I purchased. Still a better bargain than most of the alternatives I investigated.

    5 of 5 works - pure and simple Sunday, October 08, 2006

works just as advertised; enables you to control two computers with only one monitor (vga 15pin, not DVI) and up to 2 USB devices. it switches back and forth with the simple press of a button; takes a few seconds when switching (probably so each computer can detect the usb devices); came with software but i never needed to load it. note: the cables that connect to each of the computers appear to be proprietary - seems the usb signal and the video signal run over the same cable (vga 15pin) so don't lose your cables. not much else to say other than it does what it is supposed to and it hardly costs anything
