4 of 5 Solid Product Still Has Quirks Thursday, June 26, 2008 Rick Plavnicky from North Brunswick, NJ
Performance is better than the previous version, but it's still a resource hog. Still, the product recently kept some nasties out of my wife's computer while she browsed which saved me a round of post-infection cleanup. The email scanner cannot be adjusted if you use a different outbound port, which limits usefulness. Unsophisticated users may find the options screens confusing, but the default settings are reasonable enough for most. The network management features are very limited and worthy of ignoring altogether. I've been a longtime NAV customer, and I evaluated a couple of other products as my last subscription neared expiration. I ended up sticking with NAV.

Its one of the best anti virus around, one problem that you might face (I did) was uninstalling older version of Norton Anti virus the remove program from windows does not completly remove it, you will have to use "Norton antivirus uninstall tool" you can download it at symantec.com Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Great product! Thursday, February 07, 2008 A Customer from Altadena, California
Two years in a row of purchasing Norton anti-virus products, and I must add this version is the best. It's fast, easy, and secure. I really liked the ease of installation, and how it checks for daily updates on its own. Highly recommended. Was this review helpful?
2 of 5 There is a better way!! Thursday, February 07, 2008 Steve from Minneapolis
My dell computer came with this standerd, for 90 days, it was alright, but kinda fishy how EVERYTIME it did a virus scan, same thing appeared, and then i could clean it. I'm sure it was a norton thing, so it tries to fool me to think that its actually doing something, cause it was a spyware virus everytime, same thing, and always could clean it super easy. Some may be sayin that well, i was actually infected with a Virus and it was just doing its job. Well, my free 90 day trial ran out, and i quickly downloaded AVG free from download.com and it does scanning everyday for it, and yea, nothin. and ive heard nothing buyt good things about AVG and all my buds at college here use it. So i recommend FREE AVG from download.com easy, quick, and no hassle. and no you losers im not advirtising or anything, i just wanna help you peeps out, woo woo :D Was this review helpful?
2 of 5 But, does it really work? Wednesday, February 06, 2008 Trekker from Santa Fe, NM
I've had Norton loaded on my computers for nearly one year. A few weeks ago, one of my computers became infected and nothing I did would fix it. I finally contacted Symantec and after $100.00 and three techs, they were finally able to restore my computer and rid it of viruses. So why did it become infected? Does the product work? I don't think so. Techs are nice, but jeez! Was this review helpful?

I have always used Norton AV. This time I had to format my computer to install it. There was something Norton did not like on my computer. Tech support was not helpful. Was this review helpful?
1 of 1 customers found this review helpful. 4 of 5 Decent product for multiple PCs Tuesday, January 01, 2008 Chris from San Diego, CA
I find this Norton product better than McAfee. I don't plan on ever getting McAfee again. It had so many pop-up messages that required the user to click 'ok' or 'approve', it drove me crazy. So far, Norton doesn't seem to be that annoying.
I wanted to install an antivirus program on my parent's and sister's PCs. This was a great deal for three licenses. It may not be the greatest product, but it is adequate for my use and needs and a good value compared to the price. I'm quite happy with it. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Is there any question? Tuesday, December 04, 2007 MLarsen from Rochester, MN
Does anyone actually have to review this? I've administered the networks and computers in our office for a decade or more, both Macs and PCs. I've tried the others like MacAfee, Windows Live One Care, etc., and Symantec simply makes the best product. It's effective and efficient, and doesn't disrupt your other applications. 4 of 5 Hard to get started! Saturday, December 01, 2007 Kutty from Miami, Florida
I personally had trouble installing this product due to the incompatibility to Vista. Getting to customer service on line took for ever, but once I got someone, thankfully they were able to guide me step by step on how to resolve and install the product with Vista. After that ordeal...I truly have had no problems what so ever...it gets its updates, does what it is supposed to do and my computer has no viruses :) Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Protect the Family Saturday, December 01, 2007 Ralph from Gilbert, AZ
Everyone in the house has a computer. The 3-user Norton Antivirus is an economical way to keep the family's computers free of those pesky viruses. With the rebate, it was a fantastic deal. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Product is for Windows XP or Vista Saturday, December 01, 2007 A Customer from Dallas, Tx
The product description does not specify the target operating system. It is a three user license. I happen to have 2 XP and 1 Windows 2000 installation. This product cannot be used on Windows 2000; it is for XP or Vista. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Norton AV- Perfect Email Support Wednesday, November 28, 2007 A Customer from Ny,NY
It's always a suprise, perhaps shock is a better description, when email support works flawlessly. Kudos to Norton. I had 3 computers, all with Norton AV all with different expiration dates. I bought the 3-user pack...and before installing got specific instructions from Norton about combining all my accounts. The process was painless...and best of all, they added all the unused days on all 3 together to the extend the new 3-user package. All emails were acknowledged immediately...and replies within hours. 5 of 5 works great, no problems Wednesday, November 28, 2007 A Customer from Los Lunas, NM
Note: this works on 3 PCs anywhere - not just same household. I got this product free after 2 rebates. Easy installation, even for an upgrade from NAV 2007. The user interface is very easy to use and understand. The only potential bad thing is when you run LiveUpdate, there is no progress bar to see how far along you are (%-wise) in downloading the updates. However, this is not really a problem with my DSL, though dial up is tedious. Norton has great (and fast wait time) customer service. Was this review helpful?
