SteelPad 5L Precision Mouse Pad - 20030

Headline says it all. Was using free mouse pads from school, but nothing compares to this mouse pad!

I received the my new STEELPAD 5L and I use it with a Logitech G5 Mouse, of which had no trouble gliding over the surface. I prefer cloth mousepads over others with plastic or steel surfaces, and the Steelpad 5L’s plastic/cloth surface worked great for me. It had all the benefits of cloth, such as smooth feel and quiet gliding, with the added durability of plastic. Unlike some plastic pads, the 5L’s surface does have some produce some stiction/static friction as seen when I propped up the pad using a deck of cards. This stiction allows for more precise pointing yet restrict the MOUSE movement. The pad has a subtle softness that comes in handy for long gaming sessions, and I never had any mousepad slips due to the rubber base. After using the SteelSeries Steelpad 5L for a few days, I can’t find any problems with this mousepad. SteelSeries, its large size, smooth surface, and quality feel make this mousepad really stand out. The Steelpad 5L isn’t the cheapest mousepad, but its price is comparable to other high-end mousepads. If you are looking for the ultimate gaming mousepad and have the table space, I recommend spending the extra money and buying this pad. Overall, I would rate this mousepad a 5 out of 5. Pros: + Large size + Nice smooth surface + Slightly padded Cons: - No carrying case - Somewhat expensive
