    This cable woked fine. I chose the all in one because it was cheaper and obviously was only one shippment. I too was replacing a failed IDE HD with a SATA HD and it helped make my upgrade complete.

    This cable worked well when I needed to replace the old IDE drive that failed in my PC. My power supply didn't support the SATA hard drive so this worked great in providing a SATA ribbon cable to the motherboard and for connecting it to an older power supply.

    The tiny plastic piece that holds the SATA data cable on my hard drive was broken, and this fit perfectly and stayed firmly connected. Worth it if your hard drive’s cable or power connections are loose.
