4 of 5 Get Ready to splice a new plug onto it Tuesday, November 11, 2008 John from Waterbury CT
Good product great transmission area can hear it in every room
in the Condo, Even in my Van if I'm downstairs. Only problem.
Had to splice new plugs into the two I bought. They need extension wires anyway to get the best tansmission. As long as shipping is free go for it. Headphone plugs fail too, plus I can't even fit those new ones in my ear. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Works great! Thursday, September 04, 2008 A Customer from Cedar Park, TX
Works in the car, or in the office to play web radio through my stereo. Freshly charged batteries are the key to crystal clear sound. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 Not Too Bad Wednesday, August 27, 2008 A Customer from Michigan
For the price you cant beat it. A little cheaply made, it is hard to dial in the frequency you are trying to broadcast. If your not going to use it alot it is worth the cash. I would go a little more expensive next time. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 It works - for $6 that's enough! Friday, August 22, 2008 Roger from Saskatchewan, Canada
This won't match your home stereo, but it works about like I expected. Hey, for $6 it maybe even works better than I expected! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Deal Thursday, August 14, 2008 Ryan from North Platte, Nebraska
Probably not the best sound quality out there but my local super store only carried fm transmitters "for ipods" that were $50, no thanks. I think this one was $4.99 with free shipping and it sounds pretty good. Gets some static now and then but for $4.99 I am very happy with this purchase. Bought this to replace one I lost which was four times this price and there is very little difference in quality. Was this review helpful?

2 of 5 Its handy but not that good Monday, August 11, 2008 A Customer from Richmond, VA
Sonic fm transmitter is really handy to use but i get a lot of static. Also you need to keep it really close to the player. Its not the value for money better spend a little more and get the one the ones that you can out on your cigarette lighter case. Those are much better ones, i am using one of those in my other car and i am really satisfied with its response, its around 12$ but worth it. Was this review helpful?
1 of 5 Buyer beware Sunday, August 10, 2008 JR from NY from NYC, NY
This does not work! Plain and simple. I used all availble open radio waves notably 88.1 amd 107.5, 107.1 everything nothing worked. For five bucks it's not even worth the price to ship it back and that's the good thing. My other FM transmitter just plug and play. I have the open airwaves saved on my fm radio. 1 of 5 Very poor product - don't buy Saturday, August 09, 2008 A Customer from Florida
I wanted the product to transmit from a Garmin Nuvi to my FM radio in a 2005 Honda Accord. The device has a VERY weak FM transmitter so with it placed right on top of the dash board or even right in front of the radio, it can just barely be picked up. Even worse, as the car moves the device isn't powerful enough to a strong signal going to the radio. The result is music and voice are very often lost just like the device is not working at all. Again, do not buy. It is a waste of money. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 cool device Wednesday, August 06, 2008 MB from MI
Bought this from buy.com
works great. just popped in the 2 new Duracell AAAs and tuned my car FM Radio to 88.1 & it started working immediately (I drive a 98 Honda Civic in a large Metro area).
Pros : Excellent Quality, especially for the cost. Signal was strong enough to reach into my colleague's car (a recent Ford Focus) parked next to mine in my test. cool looks!
Cons: uses 2 AAA (havent used enough to test batery life), FM freq dial has to be set very carefully, if you aaccidently rotate the dial and lose the setting for your frequency.
A suggestion for all the negative reviews below: try using new batteries and after you tune your FM radio to a frequency, use your thumb gently but firmly to adjust the adapter's broadcast frequency till you get the best sound. try placing your mp3 and this adapter on the dash above your radio, the windshield might be reflecting some more signal into your radio. try with home radio to check quality of quality is poor in car, or try another location for the initial tune up.
All in all excellent product for the money Was this review helpful?
1 of 5 Pretty much junk Tuesday, July 29, 2008 A Customer from Duluth, MN
The signal that it provides is very limited and weak. I can't even use it in my car. Was this review helpful?
2 of 5 Limited use, low quality transmission, very short Tuesday, July 29, 2008 Abz from Hillsboro, OR
SAVE YOUR MONEY
I have to place it less than a foot away from my radio for it to work. It picks up interference and causes the reception of some unknown radio station as you move it slightly! It's sensitive to movement. The range is the worst I have ever seen. You don't have much room to tune it. You're screwed if radio is already transmitted in that narrow range.
That's what you'd expect out of a $5 transmitter. Maybe not. I expect that whatever I buy DOES work for whatever it is advertised to do regardless of the cost. Was this review helpful?
1 of 5 Didn't work out of box! Not worth sending back. Tuesday, July 29, 2008 A Customer from Sayre, PA
This did not function properly out of the box. After installing the batteries and following the instructions, I was not able to get this to work. The indicator light came on, but I was never able to pick up a signal from any of the 4 radios I tried.
It's too cheap to return. The shipping would be more than I paid. Hopefully others have a better experience. Was this review helpful?
1 of 5 Don't buy this Tuesday, July 29, 2008 A Customer from Houston, TX
I had a lot of trouble fine tuning this device to the right frequency on my FM radio. Once I managed to fine tune it, the sound quality was bad.
I tried using this device in my other car (thinking that I just had a bad radio in my first car), but I couldn't even tune it. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 better than good Tuesday, July 29, 2008 A Customer from Fayetteville, AR
For the money i paid for this piece, it performs to the dot. The range is no more than 25 feet. for the money it is good. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Best product I have bought in a while Tuesday, July 29, 2008 Mark from Pooler, Ga

The sound quality is not that good. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 great choice for the price Tuesday, July 29, 2008 sfritz55 from Shepherd
I just ordered 2 more. They do the job and are really easy to use. My wife and I both have older vehicles without the jack to plug in our ipods. When she saw mine she wanted one for her and our daughter. It does pick up static in larger metro areas so may not be a good choice there. We live in rural area and it works just fine Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 excellent value for the price Monday, July 28, 2008 Computerboy2k from Round Lake Beach, IL
Worked fine out of box. Sound quality fine, but need to set the digital channel first then use the dial to tune, very very sensitive Was this review helpful?

1 of 5 Good for short distance Indoor Use Only Monday, July 28, 2008 A Customer from Memphis, TN
This unit is just good for short range indoor use only. Do not buy if you plan to use it in car, where you will definitely find interference of other frequencies and devices. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Product, Great Price, Prompt Delivery Monday, July 28, 2008 A Customer from Everett Washington
Hello
What more can you ask for? After reading your other customers reviews I did not know what to expect when I received my product. Well I was quite pleased with the performance, tone quality and needless to say the price. It was easy to setup and use and this past week end I drove through downtown Seattle and had no reception problems at all. Buy.com; keep supplying those great products and great prices and I'll keep buying them.

1 of 5 Just not good Wednesday, July 23, 2008 A Customer from Centreville, VA
Easy enough to use, but the sound quality is poor, plus there's occasional static. It might work better out in the country where there's fewer stations at the low end of the dial, but in any sort of urban area, forget about it. Was this review helpful?

3 of 5 Not so good... Tuesday, July 22, 2008 A Customer from Peoria, IL
If you do not have cable that can connect your player and the audio device, this might be useful. Else, i dont think so! The efficient range is very small... Otherwise, the product is ok. Was this review helpful?
