This is a great device. But know what your buying. This item is first and foremost a Photobank. But its a highly capable photobank with all its extra functions.
I originally picked this up for a song and dance at a now defunct stor for an incredible discount because they had no idea what it was. It was stored with the PMP's. Definately the wrong place.
However I have found that it does an excellent job of being a photo bank, PMP, and mp3 player.I've often used it on long flights to watch movies and shows I ripped from my collection or video clips I've downloaded.
It's even had extensive use wtih its DVR functionality. We regularly record video with an old beta cam using this as the deck.
All in all I think I may buy another. Was this review helpful?

You could download only certain DVD (without lock).
Smartdisk does provide any software to decode dvd, basically you could download bootleg DVD.
