5 of 5 Bulletproof Wednesday, September 06, 2006 A Customer from Orlando, Florida
This thing is tough as nails. You could drive over it in your truck and not hurt it. The extending mechanism is smooth as silk and feels very positive. The lanyard attachment mechanism is metal and feels strong, as does the attachment ring on the stick. This is easily the toughest and slickest memory stick that I own. When I get more memory sticks, this is the model I will purchase. Was this review helpful?

I already own the Sandisk 512mg Cruzer Titanium. I Decided to get one more only this one is one full gigabyte. Overall I'm satisfied with it. Just be careful when you push the button down go get the tip out, it can break very easily. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 A sweeter fash drive cannot be found Saturday, March 18, 2006 Lon from Denver, CO
Can you find cheaper 1 GB flash drives? Sure. But this thing is soooo cool - it's worth a little extra (or maybe more than a little). I really love it - if I wasn't already married... But here's why I love it so much...
- 1 GB of fast data reading and writing goodness
- Durable. Not sure I'm going to try driving my car over it - but it just feels very solid.
- No cap. I hate those stupid caps.
- Small. very thin and sleek

Several days after ordering one of these, a client told me that their's went bad after a short time, and according to Sandisk, the 1 Gig models have problems in the circuitry. They are sending her a replacement, but not even the same model - so they know they are trouble. When mine arrived, I immediately noticed that the handy retractable connector wouldn't lock into position for use. It would simply push back in when you tried to plug it in. This is just poor design or QA or engineering. Then, the other day, I tried plugging into a PC, and it wouldn't turn on. The light would flash for a split second, then stay off. I think this 1 Gig model should be avoided - this is supported by comments from Sandisk directly. I'd love to try the 2gig model because I love the retractable connector, but I have less confidence in this Titanium line now. ( I had a 512 Titanium just like it, and it worked fine. I evidently just left it in the back of someone's PC, and have no clue where it is). Was this review helpful?

I just got the SanDisk Cruzer Titanium last night, and I have already realized that this product is the best I have ever used. I have used other brands, and even other models of the SanDisk USB Flash drives in the past, and SanDisk is by far the best company, but I truly believe that the Titanium is the best drive this company makes. The Titanium-Coated Metal casing is PERFECT for anyone who uses their drive in ANY kind of environment. The drive is Very Fast and attractive at that. the 1GB capacity really makes this drive nice. I took all my files from a 128MB and a 512 MB drive and combined them all into this 1 Titanium drive, and Still have over half the drive free. The Cruzer Sync software that comes with the Titanium is really neat because you can take your Outlook information (contacts, e-mails, attachments, notes, tasks, and calendar) with you to ANY Computer, EVEN IF THE COMPUTER DOES NOT HAVE OUTLOOK!!! It will also allow you to syncronize your "My Documents" folder to create a secure and portable backup of your most important documents. I will DEFINATLY purchase another Cruzer Titanium drive in the future, hopefully the will offer the Titanium in a 4 GB sometime in the near future. Was this review helpful?

Supposedly this drive can withstand a few thousand pounds of pressure. It is a faster drive than most. The whole white area illuminates blue when plugged in. And I actually get a lot of people that don't even know what it is say it looks cool. Take note the 5 year limited warranty with this where as most you do not get that. This drive is also just a hair (literaly) wider than my old sony micro vault drive. Not even noticeable. With the cap on and the Titanium drive retracted the Sony is a good bit longer. The titanium feels much more like having a tool in in your hand rather than a piece of plastic. After using the Titanium for about 4 weeks it is a drastic improvement over the Sony.
One drawback I would mention is a lot of the software that comes with the Titanium drive wants you to purchase a key to use the "full version". I did checkout the Cruzer Sync software and I found it to be very useful for keeping track of my email and things away from my computer. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Sandisk Cruzer 512 Titanium USB Flash Thursday, October 27, 2005 HKL from New York, NY
This is my fourth USB drive. The Sandisk 512 Titanium offers the best performance I've seen thus far. One thing that Sandisk offers that their competitors don't is the additional encryption utility. This allows for users to encrypt their data and should the device is mis-placed or lost, the information is secured. Nice finish and build of the device. Very fast and a great value for the price. I purchased the 1 GB version of this drive a while back and I love it. Extremely well made, very durable. Might physically be a little long for some people but you just cant beat this drive's ease of use and durability. Was this review helpful?

I've had my 512 meg titanium for a while now and it is still running strong. I have dropped it multiple times, and not a scratch. My philosophy is the more the better. So why not get a cruzer titanium with 1 gig. You truly wont regret it. It is one of the most durable USB flash drives on the market, and it is by far my favorite. Was this review helpful?

No cap to lose, and it won't crush in your laptop bag.
I like the idea of the retractable connector. I saw one and I decided I wanted to have it. Was this review helpful?

This drive is hugely impressive. It is very fast (even faster than my firewire external Seagate 160G hard drive), compact and attractive. I am also very impressed with the file encryption feature. It is not as intuitive to use as an extra drive (because of the encryption feature), but its not that hard either. Highly recommended and well worth the extra money over the cheaper thumb drives that seem cheaply made. Buy.com is also an excellent retailer... one of the very best. Was this review helpful?
