SanDisk 8GB Cruzer Micro U3 USB2.0 Flash Drive - SDCZ6-8192-A11 - Amazing Deal!

Have not had any problems with this drive so far. Works wherever I've plugged it in.

Flash drives are the best thing to come to personal computing since the internet. The 8GB drive provides all the space needed for 99% of the time.

I've been a fan of Sandisk's Cruzer USB flash drives since they first appeared. I hated losing the caps on my older drives so I went looking for one that incorporated the slide-out feature and purchased their 1GB unit. A year later I bought their 4GB unit, and now their 8GB drive. They've also improved the U3 software so if you never run applications from it - you only use it to store data like I do - you can opt-out of using the U3 feature. This means it loads faster and takes up only one drive. I live & die by my flash drive, and I'm very happy with the Cruzer.

Great value for a 8 GB drive. Easily works with several different computers. The built in software is annoying, but you can get rid of it.

The memory drive does the job I need it to (store files). I removed the U3 software after reading other reviews as it is not something I have a current use for. This process was easy to do based on the directions given. I like the compact design of the drive and I don't have to worry about losing a cap.

Actually I am very sceptical when I see notes like: Amazing Deal!. But this product and deal is realy amazing. The score of this product is: *.Performance: 5 out of 5; *.Price: 5 out of 5; *.Size (well, in this case smaller is better): 5 out of 5. So, the bottom line, I am 100% satisfiieed.

The price on this drive was fantastic. This is not the first SanDisk I've purchased and noticed the yellow indicator no longer shows activity but some sort of bright and dim activity (weird). U3 is nice but I can take or leave it. Would be nice to include an automatic full drive encryption as part of U3 like trucrypt for U3 if available, but even then, Vista does not start U3 automatically unless you load a small program on your pc. This by the way, is good for my protection.

This is my second SanDisk thumb drive and I continue to be pleased with their products. The drive is everything I was looking for. I did remove the U3 application in favor of Portable Start Menu for launching my numerous portable applications, but that is just a matter of personal preference. I would highly recommend this drive to anyone in need of portable storage.

This is one of the best flash drives I have ever owned. It is fast and reliable. I also like the U3 sychronizing software; I hope more software companies will embed the U3 code to make it easier to synch.

I bought the 8GB Cruzer because of its smart design and unbeatable price for this capacity. Its plastic case is very sturdy. The retractable USB connector works like a charm and protects my pockets. I have owned other Cruzers with smaller capacities for years and am quite happy with them - I use them daily, one even survived the washer :) The R/W data transfer rates are quite reasonable under USB 2.0. Highly recommended - especially at BUY.COM's prices!!!

This is a great 8GB jump drive. Especially for the money. I purchased on special for $27. Can't beat that! Overall great quality although I'd prefer a metal case, but pretty much everything is plastic these days. I dont have any problem plugging it in at the same time as other devices like some jump drives that are too bulky. I also like the feature of being able to slide the USB in/out so there's no cap to lose. Transfer rates seem good and have not had any problem jumping between many different computers. Highly recommended.

You can't go wrong with SanDisk & Buy.com.... I own several other smaller SanDisk drives and they always performed well and I've bought many items over the years from Buy.com and never have been disappointed with their service. I used the standard free shipping option for this purchase and had my order in three days. My only complaint is with the pre installed U3 system but it can be disabled or better yet permanently removed, which is what I did.

This USB Flash Drive is easy to use, very small, and holds tons of pictures, files, or music. I am currently using it to transfer vacation pictures from one computer to another. In addition to about 500 pictures I have about 300 songs on the Flash Drive and there is plenty of space left. There was no set up needed when I used it in either of my computers (one Vista, one XP).

I use this to transfer from one computer to the other. 8gb really holds a lot, and for under 30.00 shipped is hard to bet. Enough can not be said about the capless USB. If you lock it when you push it out, it stays that way until YOU unlock it.

The only complaint I could possibly state, was I had to update the original software to do some special functions & it BOMBED. However, this corrected in 5 or less minutes. Great for storing tons of business documents, pictures, short videos, etc.

Easy to format and use, will have a hard time filling to the max usable space. Excellent price,from Buy.com. Quality is very good. Have to be careful with slide, can unlock when installing in port.

The drive came fast. Ordered late Friday afternoon and drive delivered early Tuesday morning. Drive is excellent with transfer speed. Very convenient with the retractable cap and the keychain ring. Easy to carry around with my keychain. 8GB of storage is nice! Recommend it to anyone who need decent 8GB portable USB storage for less than $30.

Bought to replace a 2gb Kingston U3 drive that was nearing capacity. Migrated most programs (manually) without too many problems. I like the retractable USB connector but am a bit concerned that dust can get into the opening while the drive is not in use. It would be great if once you retracted the USB connector, a cover would slide and close the opening?

The cruiser performs flawlessly but beyond that I want to thank the Buy.Com organization for extending to me their outstanding courtesy and service. I ordered the 8Gig cruiser and it didn't arrive. The only conclusion is that it was stolen off my door step. I informed Buy.Com and they sent me a replacement in 10 days at no additional charge. Thats service and integrity. You folks have my business and you are the first place I'll look for any electronics needs!

The product is great (although they don't provide a cloth strap with them any longer). The ability to remove the integrated software with them is excellent now too so it's strictly storage is great. Can't beat it if you got the sale price.

I bought two of these Sandisk 8 GB drives in 2 different purchases. Being only interested in storage space, I uninstalled the U3 software. The Ready Boost feature helps the Sandisk 8GB to be very quick. Even Premium products can have problems. The 1st Sandisk 8 GB drive I purchased early in 2008 on eBay. It worked about 5 weeks then suddenly it died. Because my eBay seller didn't send it in a sealed from the factory container, Sandisk denied my warranty claim. Be certain that your seller delivers the product in a factory sealed container with all of the appropriate papers. I give 5 Stars to Buy.com for offering a great price. Buy.com gave it to me cheaper than my eBay seller. Sandisk gets 3 Stars for having a terrific product but customer service was unyielding.

Great product...so much memory so cheap. Drivers on the usb drive itself. Instantly recognized by Windows, Linux. Fast data transfer speeds. Small enough to fit on my keychain and not be a nuisance in my pocket. Def recommended to anyone out there that wants to transport any kind of data.

love it and still need more space. purchased a pny 8gb but still went and get this one because of the u3 the u3 works wonders you can install programs and use it off the usb
