Pros: 1) Fast - I bought this drive because of it's rated speed and value price, and I wasn't disappointed. It's the fastest of the 5 or 6 USB drives I've owed. I run programs from it and they perform better than ever, approaching hard drive speeds. Cons: 1) Big - it's fairly large and interferes with adjacent USB ports. 2) Delicate - the sliding mechanism seems overly complicated and prone to premature failure. In just the first two weeks I've had to struggle several times to open or close the sliding mechanism for the USB connector. I hasn't completely failed yet, but I'm afraid it's too fragile for everyday use. We'll see.

This USB drive is a little bit on the pricy side, but I think the added software (Skype,Soduko, etc.)and sleek look are well worth the premium. This things loads up very fast, which is great for those time when you need to transfer files immediately. I am very satisfied with this product.

I have come to like the SanDisk flash drives, and this one is quite serviceable. But in its efforts to be stylish, they have made it more expensive than it needs to be and not added much over their simpler ones. It comes with a bulky little carrier pouch that is good protection, but it cannot be called sleek. It is a fine flash drive, but I am happier with the more basic (and basically priced) models.

The USB flash drive is sleek as promised and is in addition to the others that I already have. It took some time for me to adjust to getting the USB working in terms of the retracting feature but once done a few times, then its very easy. The software already installed is very helpful to work with our files on any system not bothering about whether the software is present on those different computers or not. Its very fast too... I got the key chain option with which I can attach my flash drive to my key chain for easy find, and also a leather pouch to store the USB which is an added bonus... I am really very pleased with the product.

Very sharp and slick retractable design. Fingerprints easily. No way to attach to keys, etc. A little large. Comes with U3 installed. I removed U3 as I prefer portable apps. Makes a great pocket drive. Works with Vista ReadyBoost.

reasonable speed for once, my Sandisk Cruzer Micro was too slow for me but has twice the storage (8GB) at the same price that this has, i use it as a Linux squashfs boot drive, works very well

I confess to being a SanDisk groupie. When the first Cruzers came out a few years back, I marveled at them and the way they devoured a SD, plugged in and I was off and running. When I saw this one on Buy.com, it was so sleek and beautiful I knew I had to have one especially since I did not have to feed it anything. When it arrived it was as sleek and beautiful as it was on my display. It took no time to get the USB connection to pop out and I immediately inserted it into an available USB port. I anticipate using it like an external hard drive to put my digital photos on so I can take them with me to show friends and relatives; or, I may use it for financial data; or I may get a second one.

I bought this because I like my Sandisk Cruzer Micro drive but this one seems unnecessarily large to accommodate the sliding ballpoint pen like cover. While the Micro tucks the USB plug into itself, this one has a more complicated and less intuitive sliding mechanism to expose the plug. I'm not optimistic that this baby is going to hold up to regular use but those Sandisk folks probably gave it the million slides test. The software is first rate. My next one will be simpler and smaller.

IF YOU ARE STILL USING ONE OF THOSE FAKE FLASH DRIVE, YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE MISSING. YOU TAKE YOUR SOFTWARE ON THE GO AND USE IT ON ANOTHER COMPUTER WITHOUT INSTALLING ANYTHING. IT HAS EVERYTHING TO OFFER PLUS THE CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR SAN DISK ARE GREAT, THEY EXPLAIN EVERYTHING TO YOU. ALL YOU NEED IS WHEN YOU GET YOUR DRIVE YOU HAVE TO REGISTER IT. EXAMPLE IT COMES WITH SKYPE, DIFFERENT OTHER SOFTWARE YOU CAN USE. THIS DRIVES COMES WITH EVERY APPLICATION AND SOME OTHERS YOU CAN INSTALL FROM U3. SO JAMES BOND FANS????????

First let me say I am a big fan of the U3 technology that is included with this drive. With the addition of other free and for a fee applications essentially you have a mini portable OS. That can do just anything you want. Because the US technology is incorporated in the flash drive you'll enjoy a certain amount of privacy. For those of you whom are U3 fan's this U3 device IS Vista compatible!. The only 2 things that need to be improved is it's size (it's a bit to wide in some situations). It will also be nice to be able directly attach a lanyard or key ring to the flash drive. However a leatherette carrying pouch is included and it seem to hold the flash drive fairly securely. The carrying pouch can be attached to your key ring or a lanyard.

This is a great USB drive. It's fast, looks cool, and has a slick open/close mechanism. It is a little large, but the cool factor makes up for this. I haven't used the included software, but the programs appear to be useful. Overall, I would highly recommend this product.

This is an overall great product. It comes preloaded with lots of programs that are easily removable if you don't want them. This is a great product. I was a little disappointed in the password manager that comes with it (the main reason i bought it). It only allows you to store 10 passwords, then you must pay for the program to store any more passwords and none of the other options like the autofill that fills the forms out for you will work either unless you pay for the program.

Ruggedly built and a slick mechanism for exposing USB connector, but this is a big, heavy drive, much bulkier than others, such as the Cruzer Micro or Cruzer Titanium series from SanDisk. In at least one of my computers it won't fit into the front USB ports because it is too wide. Also, no way to attach a lanyard/keychain/etc., except by carrying it in its (supplied) carrying case. Case is quite nice, however. Well-constructed imitation leather.

I purchased this product because I am a college flight student and needed a high capacity storage device for my computer programming class. However, since I have purchased it, I have used it for much more. Performance and value for the dollar is excellent. I gave "Ease of Use" a 4 out of 5 because of the software that loads with the device. It is not hard to use by any means, but it is not as simple as other drives that you just plug in and drag-and-drop files via Windows Explorer. This can still be done with this storage drive, however, the additional software that loads when it is plugged in is essential for the drive to perform its many functions. Overall, a great choice.

This is a slick little USB drive. When it comes to "computer savvy" I am happy if I can get the thing to turn on. So easy to use computer products is very important for me. This unit is just plug and play. And I like the fact that I don't have to keep track of a lid or cover or something. Metal construction, neat little carring case. Worth the price I paid.

The Contour is basically the cousin of the Cruzer Titanium. The Contour has the capless design, liquid metal backing (similar to the Sandisk Sansa e200 as well), and U3. The Good: So, what makes the Contour different and better? It has faster read and write speeds (18w, 25r), a very attractive gloss black finish and the label glows blue when plugged in. The Bad: Unfortunately, when Sandisk designed this flash drive, they apparently focused too much of their development of the aesthetics and almost forgot what is critical of a flash drive. I know another person that owns a Titanium and the Contour is significantly bigger, that doesn't help people with already overstuffed pockets or tightly spaced USB ports. Next is the hatch in front of the USB connection that opens and closes, it seems like it may be the first component to break; very obvious. Finally, the fact that you can't hook it on your keychain without the leather pouch is a big ouch, and even if you could; the gloss finish would probably get scratched easily. Conclusion: This flash drive is not the best choice for the average person of office employee when compared to it's cousin the Titanium. It's certainly not your typical $10 flash drive at your local store with its retractable USB port and high read and write speeds. Even with the numerous cons stated with the Sandisk Cruzer Contour, it's still a great flash drive, just be careful with it. It also carries Sandisk's Lifetime warranty.

the Sandisk Cruzer Contour has an impressive speed advantage over the last round of cruzer micro flash drives, as well as an interesting method of protecting the usb jack. I've used mine pretty regularly since I bought it and it's still in great shape. I do wish there was a keychain ring or even a place to attach one, on the drive itself - it has no way to be attached to anything, but other than that everything has been perfect. No regrets on this one

I've bought several flash drives and the Cruzer Contour is by far my favorite! Huge 4GB capacity, very fast performance (approx 23MB/s transfer rate) along with a very cool open/close movement (top section of drove slides back then forward to push usb connector out, slide forward then back to retrieve usb connector) makes this drive an excellent buy. Highly recommend this drive to anyone who considers themselves a computer enthusiast!

I was first surprised by the size of this drive. In a word Huge. Twice the size of other 4gig flash drives. But my real complaint, is it broke 4 days after purchasing. All is lost, cause this unit will not fire up.
