5 of 5 Excellent Keyboard Wednesday, April 08, 2009 HeyZeus from CO
I rate this game as being one of the best keyboards around (Buy.com inside joke). Well built and the keys have just the right feel to them. It has actually improved my typing. All the features I wanted without the unnecessary bells & whistles. Blue LED lighting matches Antec 1200 case fans perfectly. Very pleased so far. Was this review helpful?

I use the keyboard in my studio room in the basement of my house. I mostly work at night and don't really like to have the lights on. Plus, even during the day, I only have minimal sunlight in the room, so the keyboard delivers as promised. It's also very nice to type on as it has a nice resistance to the keys. It's a substantial keyboard and definitely not cheaply made. My wife liked it so much, we bought a second one for her bedroom. Was this review helpful?

I am very happy with this keyboard, I can now type in the dark! The keys have a great feel to them, even the wife likes it so it must be good. Was this review helpful?

I have used this Keyboard for almost three years and recently purchased version II for my new computer and I prefer this keyboard over all of the others that I have ever used. Also as a side note if you are using this keyboard make sure to enable support for legacy keyboards in Bios or else you will not be able to do certain things such as enter safe mode in-between bios and the operating system startup. 5 of 5 Great keyboard Monday, February 02, 2009 Jed from Fargo, ND
Great overall keyboard for functionality and looks. 2 settings for brightness and an off setting for the backlight comes in very handy since my computer is in my room and I don't shut it down at night. I can just hit the switch and turn off the keyboard. The keyboard functions great and sounds very soft when typing (no loud clicking of the keys when you press on them). I love it and would recommend it to everyone! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Good stuff Thursday, January 29, 2009 Patrick from San Diego, CA
I have had this keyboard for a few weeks with moderate to light usage. The keys have an excellent touch/feel to them. The volume adjustment buttons are very handy. Well worth the slightly more than thirty dollars i spent on it. I have not used it long enough to see if it will have the possible key-rub-off problem. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 I LOVE IT!!!!! Tuesday, January 27, 2009 Phyllis from Pitkin, La
I received my lighted Eclipse keyboard from my son as a Christmas present. I LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!!!!!! I had a problem seeing my keyboard at night. No problem at all now!! I also like the shape & the way it looks. One of the best presents I ever received!!!!! Was this review helpful?

Keys are rubbing off.. faster than ANY keyboard I have ever owned.
Volume and mute keys are not back lit. I use them frequently.

5 of 5 Nice Friday, December 12, 2008 Jesse from Corvallis Oregon
Awesome keyboard, looks great and functions perfectly.
The keys hit so softly and feel just right.
You know this is the one the moment you start typing. I like the dim and off settings for the lights, as well as the volume keys.
Those are the only function buttons on the keyboard though, which is perfectly fine.
all in all
I recommend this to anyone.
Great Keyboard at a great price! Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Great Product Thursday, December 04, 2008 Michelle P from Boston MA
I love this lighted keyboard. The ONLY thing I don't like? The fact that the keytboard stays lit when the computer turns off. You have to manually turn the light off on the keyboard.
It turns on automatically when you power the systemn up, but does NOT do the same when powering down.
The provided wrist rest also does not stay put. I finally ditched it because it kept falling on the floor! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 It is best in the dark Friday, November 21, 2008 Bobby from Souderton, PA
I have windows Media Center on Vista Premium. I stream movies and tv and did not like having to turn on the light to type in a new web address or user name and password.
This product solved the issue. It is illuminated in the dark so I dont have to turn on the lights. I LOVE this keyboard. Everyone before me is right about the keys. They are like butter, they type so easily. And is looks darn cool, too. Thumbs up to the designers of this product. And thank you Buy.com for having it so cheap! Was this review helpful?

An Amazing Keyboard… I love it. Bought it a couple of years ago, and surely it’s the best keyboard I ever owned. The keys feel right and this keyboard just looks so cool… The black color goes well with my dual monitor setup. The price here is also great. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Awesome Keyboard Sunday, November 09, 2008 A Gamer from Buffalo, NY
It does what it should, light up in the dark....and that is all I wanted it for because I like to play games and watch my movies in the dark. It has 3 settings; bright, dim and off which is nice. Only gripe I have is that it doesn't have an eject CD button or advance track forward when I play music but I think there are ways around that. Highly recommended for those who want a quiet keyboard that lights up. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 I'm happy. Tuesday, October 21, 2008 Vic from Independence, MO
First off, why do we have to rate gameplay, graphics, and difficulty for a keyboard?
Anyway, this is a very solid keyboard and it looks great, too. Lights are sufficiently bright, but as others have noted, you can only make out part of the names of certain keys when viewed at an angle. If you're a hunt-and-peck typist, that may be a problem. Was this review helpful?

3 of 5 might have problems with vista Sunday, October 12, 2008 A Gamer from cincinnati, OH
I like the keyboard. Illumination is nice, although the keys along the very top are hard to see. However, in Vista, this keyboard goes dead whenever th PC goes into sleep mode (or whatever it is called -- when the monitor goes black). It wakes up when I move my mouse, but the keyboard won't respond. The PC (a dell 530) works fine with the dell keyboard. I've had to remove the saitek keyboard. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 As Advertised Saturday, October 11, 2008 A Gamer from Dallas, TX
Bought after reading previous reviews to replace "sticking keys" board. It performs great. It is very quiet and the back light is terrific. Shipping was lightning fast. This was a great purchase. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Love this board. Monday, September 22, 2008 Sparticus from Los Angeles, CA
I have had it for 3 years now, and it's just fantastic. 1-2 keys have rubbed off because I am constantly sweating on them (W, A, D, is used for my online gaming everyday)...but other than that, it glows just the right amount (not too bright and not too dim)...I am going to keep it until it breaks apart (probably 5 years from now) and then get another Saitek. 4 of 5 good for the money Wednesday, August 27, 2008 A Gamer from MA
Good back lit keyboard for the money. Comfortable to type, good response for games.
Only caveat is the keys can scratch easily and the light goes through the scratches. Can be a little annoying. Was this review helpful?

Nice keyboard, looks a bit like a childs toy at first. Price was good, illuminated, works great, keystrokes are very quiet, 3 modes to choose from for lighting. For a low end illuminated gaming keyboard its great. Probably would not buy this if it wasn't on sale or in promotion. Highly recommend. Thx buy.com Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Saitek Eclipse Keyboard is Awesome!!! Wednesday, July 02, 2008 Phantoma247 from WV
This is the most awesome keyboard I have ever used and so very quiet! I love the blue back light, you can adjust it in 2 settings or turn it off completely. I give this keyboard 5 stars all the way! Buy it, trust me you will love it! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 excellent for my dark computer room Sunday, June 29, 2008 JW from Va
im glad i purchased this item and im glad i got the blue light model (at the time i didnt even know there was a red)....my only complaint would be that i wish the 4 buttons at the top right (3 volume and 1 for backlight) would actually light up as well when the backlight is turned on Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Best keyboard I ever owned - bought another! Tuesday, June 17, 2008 Spencer from Yonkers
I bought my first Saitek Eclipse Keyboard when they originally came out - I think it was at least 2 years ago. I have seen the "newer" version of the Eclipse, and there are no features that would cause me to buy it over the original. The quality is the same, the feel is the same, etc. You can use red or blue illumination, but for the money I don't think it's worth it. Bottom line, this is the best keyboard I have ever owned. It has a fantastic feel. The keys are well constructed, have never broken, and have a perfect blend of feedback and stiffness (not too stiff, not too flat). I love this keyboard so much that when my keyboard at my office dropped dead - a Dell - I decided to spend a few beans more for a replacement. Hey, I am on that thing over 50 hours a week! I deserve it! While Saitek markets this as a "Gaming Keyboard", the truth is that it's just a great keyboard period. The illumination is an awesome idea, and benefits everybody - not just gamers, and the quality is fantastic. You could beat someone to death with this thing - not that I endorse that, but the keyboard would definitely hold up :)
I bought my first Eclipse for $60 and it was worth every penny then. Now, at a little more than half that price delivered, this is a steal. Don't even think twice, you will not be disappointed. Was this review helpful?

I just love the looks of this keyboard. I'm tempted to leave my computer on at night just for the cool blue glow. As far as key feel and functionality I don't see that its anything special, on par with something you would get from dell. Was this review helpful?
1 of 1 customers found this review helpful. 5 of 5 A bit pricey, but worth it! Sunday, January 13, 2008 KAVE from Michigan
After months of debating, I decided to splurge on this keyboard and found it to be worth it! The keyboard has a very high-quality feel and the illumination is awesome and extremely handy! I can now use the computer in the evening without having to turn on all the lights.
Even my wife, who isn't a techie, said the lighting is very convenient.
Don't hesitate - buy it now! Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Best keyboard. Friday, March 02, 2007 A Gamer from Calexico, CA
I've gone through many different keyboards in the last four years and I think I may have found the one. I bought the ECLIPSE for its lit keys since I do alot of typing and playing at night. The main typing keys are well lit but the number keypad seems to be somewhat dim, but that has to do with your position in front of the keyboard. Looking at it from above all keys are well lit. I like the three position wrist rest and the dimmer switch (which I wasn't expecting). I also didn't know that the board had a volume control, which I think it's a plus nowadays. Overall it's a great keyboard with a price other vendors around here couldn't match or beat. Was this review helpful?
