With its beautiful, easy-to-use design, this 8-cup automatic drip coffeemaker brews great-tasting coffee and nicely compliments any kitchen decor. Made of elegant ceramic and thermal-insulated steel, the unit's white carafe with the word "coffee" across the front functions not only as an attractive serving piece, but it also keeps 40 ounces of coffee hot for up to five hours. The coffeemaker offers a simple push-button control panel, with a digital display and blue LED indicator lights, which allows for simple programming of the automatic timer. The unit's pause-and-serve function makes it easy to pour a quick cup midbrew, and at the end of the brewing cycle, the appliance automatically shuts off for safety. Other highlights include a handy clock, a 40-ounce top-filling water reservoir, and power-cord storage for keeping countertops tidy. As needed, wipe the exterior of both the thermal carafe and the coffeemaker with a damp cloth, then dry thoroughly. The inside of the thermal carafe and all removable parts of the coffeemaker should be washed by hand in soapy water, rinsed thoroughly, and dried.

I've had this coffee maker for about a year.. I paid considerably more than this. Overall I'm quite pleased. It has a permanent grounds basket so no need to buy filters. Using the timer option, it's so nice to wake up to the smell of fresh brewed coffee in the morning My only complaint, is that in our home there are three coffee drinkers, one of them likes two cups of coffee in the morning. Unless you add a bit more gounds and water after the second cup, there isn't enough for the fouth cup. If you're a one cup family or just a two user group, this is a great coffee maker. The thermos keeps the coffee quite hot for several hours.
