As a technology teacher I have used this remote for about a month. It's great to use for presentations when you don't want to stay next to the computer. The range is about 30' but I've never needed to go that far away for most presentations. The blackout feature is great when you want to pause or focus the attention on yourself or onto something else. A great value for the low price. Works great with XP (plug and play)
