| | | Prodigal Daze is a very candid, and at times graphic portrayal of a young pastor's downward spiral into the dark world of pornography, failed marriages, and failed attempts at ministry. The willingness of the author to talk about the unthinkable should serve as a beacon of hope for any believer who is struggling with similar issues and hopelessly trapped in ungodly and unholy cravings and lifestyles. Prodigal Daze will lovingly and explicitly move the reader from Romans 7 (defeated by sin)to Romans 8 (victory over sin). Prodigal Daze is a must read book for all believers, because sin is something we are all subject to according to I John 1:5-10. The author shows us the patience of a loving Father who remains faithful to His promise to save us, even after we fall. Prodigal Daze speaks to every believer about the courage to move forward in midst of your trials.

5 of 5 Rave Review from Fellow Author Saturday, August 09, 2008 Connie Arnold from Winston-Salem, North Carolina
Prodigal Daze is the story of a ministers struggle with an addiction and the challenges in his life. Pastor Zimmer had a remarkable spiritual experience as a young man who came to know Christ and received a calling to the ministry. The following years brought small successes and many failures in his journey toward a stronger faith and control of his sinful addiction. The author offers an honest account of his battle with sin, comparing himself to the Prodigal Son in the Bible, returning to find love and forgiveness in spite of all he had done. Prodigal Daze could be helpful for those suffering from an addiction or any of us succumbing to sin, giving us hope of overcoming through the powers of Gods love.

5 of 5 I Couldn't Put It Down Saturday, September 30, 2006 mcvikair from Riverside, CA
Todd McVikair, CWO2 - US Army Thank God for good books like this. One of the best books of this type I've read. I can relate to the author and his experiences almost as if they were my own. I thought the book would be good when I got it, but once I started reading it, I couldn't put it down. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 A Must Read Book Saturday, September 30, 2006 foster65 from Desert Hot Springs, CA
Patricia Foster, A reviewer, 06/30/2006 Honesty Counts I read 'Prodigal Daze' written by Paul Zimmer. The book is well written and keeps the readers interest as it is written in language that is down to earth and easy to understand. It is an honest story of his life. He 'admitted' to lifestyles that are not acceptable to most of us, but, he overcame that 'life' with God's help. I for one, applaud his honesty.

5 of 5 A Modern Day Samson Monday, July 03, 2006 A Reader from L.A., CA
Many Christians live a double life, driven by fleshly addictions that chose to run with the flesh with its eventual downward spiral. Such life cycles are clearly described by God in the book of Judges. Paul is a modern day Samson, feasting on the best flesh offered, yet having that hound of heaven constantly pursuing, reminding him that he belongs to another. Unlike Samson and many heroes in the book of Judges, this book ends with God's mercy and grace on beautiful display through the life of Rev. Paul Zimmer.
