Plantronics Voyager 520 Bluetooth Headset – New OEM in Poly-Bag - VOYAGER520BLK - Does not include charging cradle

Since Blue Tooth 1st came out I loved the technology. I was one of the first in the city to have one, thus looked crazy for seemingly talking to myself, But it was fun to see peoples expressions. I've always had Motorola after my 1st bad experience with a less expensive Body Glove head set. Motorola always seemed to be the best when it came to BT head sets, But that has changed. Recently I bought a Jawbone II, well 3 actually. One for the wife one for my son and one for myself. I didn't like the fit of the JB2 and it didn't stay in the ear and no push voice activation. Does anyone want to buy a JB2 because I have a new Plantronics Voyager 520 I won't sell. Plantronics does a great job on their ear buds that go into the ear. The 520's ear bud funnels into the ear giving you great sound and clarity. It also has noise cancelation witch I'm told I can be heard very well. Also I can push a button on my 520 and give a command of who to dial. I showed it to my mother in law and she tried it on and now has one, she loves it. I liked it so much I purchased another one when she bought hers, so when I ware this one out I won't have to worry about finding one again. I Highly Recommend the Plantronics Voyager 520.

purchased because of ability to connect with 2 devices. has good sound quality, but does catch a lot of wind noise while outside talking to people. seems comfortable to me.

I bought this product since I lost my bluetooth a few months ago. This product is really nice and fit very comforatbly in my ear. I like this product because the last one I had loose the connectivity if I hook up in power. This one won't. It even connects automatically some time which i have to figure it out why. But that is nice. With buy.com the price is nice. The shipment is in time. Nicely packed. I love this product and the vendor. I already bought some thing else from them. I strongly recommened this bluetooth for this price and what it offers.

The quality is good during most of time. But there were terrible experience that I had. While I was talking with my friend, I heard another old woman talking once in a while in another language, maybe spanish. There's a possibility of cross connection, my friend said. So he dropped it and called me again. The problem was still there. He couldn't here the woman's voice. Only I could hear it. It was frightening. The headset is the most suspicious part. Another intolerant problem is that this headset is causing me headache!!!! I had not have headache like that. I realized it because I had been using my left ear to use this bluetooth headset. It is my left half head that the headache is from. There're no other reasons I could recall. The only reason is that I used this headset for talking with my friends for over half an hour for a couple of times. After I suspected its causing me headache, I tried several times more. It does cause headache even if I only use it for several minutes. It's just the headache is not that severe if I use it for short time. This is terrible. Be careful. It hurts your head. I suspect it impairs the ears too. I'm still seeking to return it. I'm not sure if this is a problem of the item on my hand only or it's a common problem of this product.

I purchased this unit after going through many others such as the Jabras, Motorolas, and even the very pricey Jawbone. For many reasons none of the other brands worked for me. I know this is a broad statement, but because of fit, size, poor sound quality, I returned all of them and have been using a corded earpiece for the last few months. Talk about frustrating. I know that these types of devices are very personal, they really are 1 size fits some. For me this fit perfectly out of the box. There are not adjustments in the earpiece size or shape, so it will either work for you or not. The talktime is excellent, clarity is very good, and use is very easy.

Bought this for my 5'5" wife, who has relatively tiny ears. She loves the unit, but complains it is too difficult to keep it in her ear. Would recommend Plantronics anyday, but not this model if buying for a person with small ears. I'm 6'2" and it fits me so good I can't even tell I'm wearing it after 3 minutes. Too bad I don't need a headset (built-in in Camry).

Battery life is great and sound is good. Easy to connect and use. I would recommend it as a solid choice and a good price.

This is a good headset. The noise filtering seems to work well. I only wish it had a mute function from the headset.

Just like any review readers need to take things with a grain of salt. I hope to share my 1 day experience. Previous reviews were mostly positive...except for that 1 person that said scratches and earwax were present on the devices. I have to say, I was expecting the worst and hoping for the best. And you know what? I got what I was looking for...a quality product for a great price. Now the question will be...how long will it last. More on that as I use it. I felt "5" for 3 of the 4 categories were true. I chose "4" for performance because there is no N/A...but after Day 1...it performed very well.

I am very impressed with the quality of this device, especially for that price. The fit is good, too. I try to remember to take it off when I leave my car, because I hate walking around with that little blue light blinking. The best part of owning this, though, is when I'm at home, I don't have to try to keep a cellphone balanced between my shoulder & ear while I'm cooking, sweeping, or on the computer. I can't stand sitting and talking on the phone -- I need to be doing something else.

This was my first bluetooth headset that i got after reading many other reviews. The product is really good. There has been no complaints from any of my callers and it is very easy to use and pair. It has a battery standby of almost 3 days and talktime for 10-12 hours. There are no cons to mention.

I have two Blackberry's (one personal, one work) and it was annoying to try and use my old Bluetooth between both phones. So I had been looking on and off for a second Bluetooth headset. I almost settled on a getting a cheap Bluetooth headset for my work phone, but came across the Plantronics Voyager 520. While the reviews indicated the noise filtering was spotty, the price was hard to beat and the fact that you could use it with TWO phones was great. I ordered it and received it about two weeks ago. After two weeks, I'd say I'm happy with the headset. I've asked my friends on the sound (especially when I am driving) and they said, it's a little noisy but they can hear me. Getting the phones to recognize the headset was easy. One minor annoyance is if you turn your headset off at night and turn it back on in the morning, it will automatically connect to the phone you were using last. You will have to manually connect the other phone. But all in all, that is a minor complaint. The headset has been working fine and I recommend it, especially for those with multiple phones.

I purchased two of these headsets for $24.99 each + tax on 1/11/09. I received them today 1/24/09. It took 13 days for them to arrive! I pulled the first one out of the package and it has more scratches on it than the lost, 2-year old 520 it is replacing. The worst part was that the rubber earpiece is full of lint and earwax! I pulled the second one out and without even taking it out of the poly bag I can see there is food spilled on it. The description says NEW OEM and they are NOT!! I have asked Buy.com to exchange them.

I have been using it for the past couple of weeks and I should say it's been working okay. It is very easy to use and fits my ear easily, without taking much longer to adjust the earpiece everytime. However, I have a couple of issues with this, as such the functionality wise, not with the product of buy.com. I would want the headset to be able to put the call on hold and mute fucntionality. Otherwise, this is a very good product I thank buy.com for providing a great deal.

I bought this headset for my wife. Great price and no problems with it and her sony ericcson 760. The directions that came with headset were a little lacking. The confusing part was getting it to sync with the phone. I ended up on plantronics support on their www site. These directions from the www site were much clearer on what needed to be done: "Begin with the headset turned off. Press and hold down the silver call control button in for 6-10 seconds. The light will flash blue first. Continue to hold the button down then release the button when the indicator light starts flashing red then blue." After I read that we had no problem getting the headset synced to my wife's phone.

This is the best headset I have owned to date hands down. The noise cancel feature works very well, it does not flop all around your ear, it looks better then the 510(hearing aid), and the price is right. It was just a bit hard to pair up with my phone but I managed after a few minutes.

For the price of this bluetooth headset, we haven't found any other headset that measures up to the quality. It was simple to set up, it's easy to use, it looks good, and it's simi-durable. We strongly recomend this product.

I don't usually write product reviews, but I have been so impressed with the Plantronics 520, I decided to write this review. I considered other bluetooth headsets such as the jawbone models which are considered to be the top of the line. However, I was pleasantly surprised with the performance of the Plantronics 520 which comes equipped with a noise canceling feature. The sound quality is excellent, pairing is easy, and it is so comfortable I promise you will forget you're wearing it. This is a greatly underrated unit that offers superior performance for a fraction of the cost of the "top of the line" units. I highly recommend the Plantronics 520. It is an excellent, excellent value for the price.

i wasn't going to get a bluetooth headset because i really dont need anything that high tech. But then i saw this one & for the price you cant beat it with a stick! It arrived in like 3 days & once i paired it up (which was super easy to do) it works wonderfully!! Although i found that you do have to find the fit that works for you when you put it in your ear. But it works so well that i had to order the same brand of bluetooth for my husband but the rugged version.
