3 of 5 Pretty good, could be better Sunday, August 05, 2007 A Customer from Rochester, MI
This is a pretty good unit from Plantronics. Reasonably easy to operate and reasonably comfortable. What I don't like is 1)not as sensitive an earpiece as some which means you can't get enough volume out of some cellphones with poor audio drivers (like LG), 2)Plantronics has cheapened the quality of the connectors they use which means its easier for the connector to accidently pop out of the phone jack when jostled, 3)Plantronics does not provide enough strain relief on the wire where it enters the earpiece housing which means that after a period of time the wire will break. Plantronics needs to improve their designs and materials. Their units do not last as long as they should. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Excellent sound quality - my voice and caller! Friday, February 09, 2007 A Customer from New Berlin, WI
I bought this headset to use with my Motorola 5.8 GHz Digital phone - model 7081. A perfect combination - the volume of the headset is adjustable with a dial on the cord - there is a handy mute button next to it. The plug into the phone is very sturdy and has a microphone volume adjustment for three levels. The microphone has noise cancelation and it works excellent - in a small office where others are talking around me, the caller does not hear background noise. The headband is very comfortable, I like it better than the optional ear hook. Overall, the unit works flawlessly very functional, I no longer have a crimp in my neck trying to cradle the phone and type while working - it's excellent sound quality makes this item a real bargain! 5 of 5 Bluetooth Is Not For Everyone Monday, January 29, 2007 A Customer from San Clemente, CA
Like many people, I considered using the bluetooth cordless earpiece. I work from home quite a bit and talk in my car to/from meetings all the time. I don't want to bother with an earpiece that is not easy to put on and remove.
The M-175 is a great solution. The headset is convertible for those who may want the option to use an earpiece or a headset. I prefer the headset. I can use it for both my home phone and Treo, this added convenience really goes a long way. The mute button on the cord is also a big plus. No more fiddling around trying to find the mute button on my Treo - avoiding accidental hang-ups. The quality is great. There is a separate volume control for speaking and listening.
Lastly, you cannot beat the price. I have 4 - one for each car, the home office, and the downstairs. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Pleased Tuesday, June 27, 2006 A Customer from Dallas, Texas
Works well with my Treo 650. Bluetooth headsets are nice, but need to be continually recharged. This headset is always ready. I find the over the head mode comfortable as it does not intrude into the ear itself.

The only down side is that my phone seems to sometimes still think this headset is connected after I unplug it. The treo's internal microphone and speaker are not enabled when this happens, so I can't hear or talk to whoever is on the line. Was this review helpful?
