one of the best head sets I've ever used BUUUUUUUUUUUUT really needed a better charging system. it connects through a tiny little plug that has a VERY bad habit of coming loose and not charging after you fall asleep. i would have given it all 5's if not for the fact that i had to use tape to hold the charger plug in place so it doesn't wiggle loose on it's own, see more at brokintongue.com

It is a great product. It works better than my Motorola BT headset. I wish it had a usb plug-in as a charging option.

This device works great without altering the ringtone on the phone. Allows you to know a call is incoming when ringer is shut off. Notification sound is a very soft "boop boop" sound. The battery compartment charger to keep the device charged between uses is a great feature. The wall charger is a little tricky and does not always want to stay connected. I do recommend using the ear hook that is provided. Unless the silicone earpiece fits perfectly into your ear, there is a real chance of the device falling out of place and being lost. Overall an excellent buy.

I am giving this a rating of 1 because i bought 3 of them from buy.com in december and i've started to use the 2nd one but it will not accept a charge. I will think twice before i buy a refurbished item from buy.com again. i guess i will just have to take a $15 loss on it.

Love the fact that you can use this headset with 2 phones at the same time. 1st phone Blackberry Pearl, and 2nd phone is an Apple Iphone. Great call quality and pretty comfortable.

*This is the first bluetooth headset I've ever bought that fits so perfectly and operates great to boot. *I often forget to remove the set from my head because I just don't feel it as it tightly hugs my ear without ANY movement. *It's light weight. *The charge-from-a-single AA battery feature is great too, should you ever run the battery down (I have yet to do so in a single day's useage-I charge it each night). *Another great feature is it's ability to pair up and communicate with more than one phone simultaneously. I carry a work phone as well as my personal on a daily basis and can answer calles from either phone without having to pick up either. ** Highly Recommended!!

I got this for my new Blackberry Bold. Worked flawlessly, however, the range is a bit shorter then my Motorola BT. Volume is nice and loud. I don't know about the 15 hour talk time stated in the product description, but I do get 5 or 6 hours before I recharge it. Hold the button down for a second and I use the voice dialing feature on my Bold. Super light, first headset I have that doesn't fall off my ear without a ear hook. I paid $12 or $14 dollars for this. Can't beat it for that price!

I got this unit because I lost my old one....a Samsung after almost 2 years. I saw this deal at Buy.com and I was familiar with Plantronics products from previous office phone equipment I had used. Pros:This bluetooth headset seems to function well and I can hear and be heard clearly in most environments. Cons:However, I have had some difficulty with getting the ear gels into my ear/s without pain. Also, I miss the voice dial and last number redial functions that I am used to with the other headset.

Havn't used it a whole lot yet, but when I have it works great caller on the other end says it sounds clear' I like to hold the button down for a second and it goes to voice dial on my motorola krazr k1,I say call home and it works great while driving, also I really like the ear plug part it stay in my ear no problem because I didn't like the wrap around thing on my old motorola bluetooth, but it comes with one if you want to use it. you put it in the little pen holder thing in your shirt pocket and it vibrates when you get a call just put in your ear and say hello.keep in mind I have only had one bluetooth ear piece previous so I cant compare quality with others......

Good item, never expect to get anything good for the money paid. Was shocked with a quality of sound. Real battery life is about 8-9 hours.

Okay- easy to connect and easy to use. Now when you use it don't plan on going for long the talk time I've recieved out of of it maybe 3 hours of talk time. So when I leave the house at 7 am I really need to be home before dark now....

I have had a Jabra, Motorola 350, Aptiva, Generic brand and now this Plantronics 640e. It worked...out-of-the-box...with no problems. The earpiece is comfortble, the sound quality is great...speaking and hearing! The charging options are great (portable battery charger or AC charger). I would recommend this headset to anyone. I hope Buy.com gets more to sell.

My first Blue Tooth was a Plantronics model. I lost that one after a year. Replaced it with a Motorola and a Hummer Brand. They were no comparison. Ran across this model Plantronics and bought it because of a great price. I haven't been disappointed. This one is smaller and lighter. The separate charging capability with a AAA battery is a great feature. The lighter and flexible ear hook is even better. Feels like you're not wearing anything. Volume is loud and clear. Other people hear me much clearer. Have to say Plantronics works for me. I have a brother who has tried other Brands and wasn't satisfied but he never tried a Plantronics. I know not to try those Brands. We have the same phone (Razr then EnV) and service (Verizon). I think I'll stick to Plantronics and quit messing around.

Bought "reconditioned" for $15, this unit is worth that price but I wouldn't have paid much more for it. The sound quality is fair but the buttons/controls are not easy to operate and the unit is too easy to mute (Hello? HELLO?). It fits in the ear fairly well and with the hook won't fall off easily. I suspect Plantronics came out with an improved model which is why this model is no longer available.

PRO's - Connects to two handsets which is big plus. - Voice is clear on both ends. - There is no need to shout to make yourself heard in noisy places like airports. - Battery back-up seems to be ok. I've not really put this to a test - Comes with AAA charger attachement to charge on the go. Contraption looks like an oversized pen when assembled. CON's - Ear piece keeps falling off. - The loop for over-ear stabilizing keeps coming off. - Not very comfortable to extended use. (But this does not concern me too much since I use it only intermittently) A very good buy considering it cost $14

I like this product because I wear glasses, and it stays in my ear without an over-the-ear wire. I works as well as any bluetooth earpiece I've used.

and it's about time I find one that is! Paired up easily with my BJII. I'm on the road most of my day and needed a BT headset that was loud enough. Great fit too with the ear gels, didn't need the ear hook. This is my 4th one and it turned out to be the best. It was also the least expensive because it's a refurb. So if volume is your priority, this one fits the bill.

I've owned a Plantronics 510 but was unhappy with the sound quality. Everyone said I sounded muffled. But, this headset, in the right environment sounds very good. Most callers tell me that they couldn't tell the difference between the handset and the headset. Notice, however, that I said the right environment. If the environment is relatively quiet and wind-free, you get great sound quality. In the car on the freeway, most callers tell me that background noise overwhelms my speech. And, you can forget about using this headset on a windy day outdoors. No one can hear you then over the wind noise. Range is OK with my BlackBerry Pearl 8130; anything over 15' and static that can be heard by the caller, too, will take over the conversation. Love the recharge option; keep the battery part in your travel bag and the AC adapter on the desk. Overall, the device meets the needs of a home office worker that uses the device mostly indoors, and is a good value for the low Buy.com price I paid.

It has worked great for me so far. I can drive with my windows down and still hear everything without any problem. The battery attachment that you can use to charge it is nice to have too. I just keep it in my car and if it gets low then it's easy to take care of it.

I think this is my favorite bluetooth headset I have owned. Now I usually go for the inexpensive ones. Pro: Small, easy to use, the option to charge from a battery, PRICE Con: doesn't hold charge as long as others, having to have the charger base to charge is a pain, range doesn't seem to be great, I never like the big blue flashing light. I know that is a lot of cons but for the price I can live with them. At least until it is lost or runs through the was like my other ones do.

Bought this refurbished when I had misplaced my previous Bluetooth headset. In the meantime found the old one (Blueant X3 Micro) but I'm using the new one only. Refurbished it was like $13 or something like that which is a steal, VERY good deal. As new condition. Easy to use though there are easier. Practical alternative of charging on the go with a AA battery. Other than that its bothersome that you need the "case" to charge it and can't just plug it in to the headset. Its very stable and comfortable in the ear. And now to the most important part: the sound reception and transmission are VERY good. Most of all the transmission is the best of the 3 that I've had so far (the 3rd one was Motorola H700): everybody hears me very well, which didn't hold true for the previous ones. Like the build and storage/charging holder - battery backup is nice to have. Fit to ear fine and won't fallout without the hook (with mid adapter). Easy to pair with my old Sony T610 and works with all functions. Only complain is the voice quality that is not that good, seems it makes some amplified noice (click)under certain condition. - But for the price still a good value.

I never had a Bluetooth headset before, but my expectations were not so high for this low price either. After 1 month, I already lost the smallest earpiece as it must have fallen out while in my pocket. The smallest earpiece barely fit in my ear, and you must be a giant for the other ones to fit. This holds true for both my girlfriend and I, who are both 5'9". Now I am using the medium earpiece, and it feels like the darn thing is going to fall out all the time (because it does). In addition, I get a lot of crackling static while I'm indoors, but none when I'm in the car. I'd skip this and spend a little more for something a bit more solid and comfortable. The bottom line is; you get what you pay for.

I love this headset. Absolutely great price. I love that it has both an AC adapter to charge and also a nifty little holder with a AA battery to charge when you are away from home. Paired it with my Chocolate phone from Verizon - works great.

This is my first bluetooth headset. Works great, was easy to setup with my Sony 810i. Holds charge for long time. 3 ear tips, one fits just perfect. Looks cool too. Can't complain about the price either at Buy.com.

This is a really good earpiece. It is one of the better ones that I have owned. Only thing is that it doesn't fit in (my) ear on its own, the ear hook is needed.

It works fine. Had no problem pairing, audio is very good. It even vibrates in addition to beeping (you will hear it only if you are wearing it on your ear) when the phone is in vibrate mode. Very good. The only problem is the button is kinda mushy, it doesn't click when pressed and you don't know if its stuck or its back to its original position. BUT IT WAS ONLY 13 BUCKS SO WHO CARES.......AM HAPPY. Highly recommend.

I have to say, I've bought so many blue tooth headsets and they are always poor quality, don't fit, or run out of juice at the drop of a hat... I bought this with the thoughts "hey, even if it sucks, it was only $13!"... lo and behold, it's the best headset I've ever owned!! I knew Plantronics has good quality merchandise, but I didn't realize that even a refurb was going to be this good. The sound quality is fantastic. Also, I have small ears and most headsets don't fit well and eventually cause me serious pain after a short time of wearing them... not this one! Finally, the portable charger - which runs on a single AA battery - is a fantastic feature. I highly recommend this headset. I'm very happy with it!

This is my first bluetooth earpeice and i must say it surpassed my expectations. with previous hands free headsets the person i'm talking to always asked if I was in a tunnel or talking on speakerphone. No one even knew i was on a hands free device and I could hear everything perfectly. I'm very impressed. The only down side I would note is the ear bud. it gives you the option of lg, md, or sm and over the ear holder or not. the ear bud does not lock on to the device very securely and tends to fall off. the over the ear holder is comfortable but again causes the earbud to fall off.

The ear peice is very light,not very comfortable.the ear piece hurts after a while. I only get about 3 hours of talk time not the 15 hrs it claims to have. maybe my refurb is just a lemon.

This is my first bluetooth device for the phone, but it beats the wired connection I had been using. It has great sound and mic quality as if I was directly talking on the phone. I have been using it for a month now and had no problems with it at all. I'm still using it with the initial charge and just turn it off when not in use for a total of about 2 to 3 hours so far.

I've had this toy for a week and so far am very satisfied with its quality of construction and sound quality. The sound is clear and crisp. I would definately recommend it to others. Can't go wrong for $13 what I paid for it. I had heard that cheaper bluetooth handsfree devices are usually not that good. But I am satisfied with this one so far.

I've owned about six other BlueTooth sets and this one beats them all. It's not the loudest (Motorola) but it fits my ear better than any! Before, only the Plantronics would fit the best, but not perfectly--this one, with the soft silicone ear pieces, a selection of s, m, and l--allows it to fit snugly, without any movement at all (but I do use the ear wire). And, unlike other Plantronics I've used, this one has no static. Highly recommended.

This is the best bluetooth I have used. It not only fits well in the ear, it has an earloop. With this style earpiece the smallest ear bud is too small and the medium bothers my ear. With the ear loop I used the smallest ear bud and forget that I have the bluetooth on

This is so far the best of the four bluetooth headsets I have bought. It's lightweight, looks great, and fits in my ear snugly and comfortably. The sound quality is good, and control buttons work without problem. I was attracted mostly by the price and brand name, but was a bit concerned about its being a recertified product. Turned out to be no problem. I am very satisfied.

I bought this for my wife. But after receiving it thought looks kinda cheap and will it work. But having never had a Bluetooth before decided to give it a try. But she loves it!! For the money it was a great buy!
