Works as advertised. the only gripe I have is that the "neck" isn't long enough to allow clearance to plug into my cigarette lighter. Luckily my car has an auxiliary plug in the center console, where it works just fine. Was this review helpful?

Who am I? Moderate to high level techie who has no experience with this type of product.
How much have I used this product? A handful of times over about two weeks.
Initial Impressions: Feels solid and substantial probably owing to its surprising weight for its small size.
Things I like: The led light that shows it is in use turns off when device is disconnected so it is not eternally on. Works with my cell phone and mp3 player(especially because I bought a different car-to-dc adapter that didn't work with my cell phone because of the power requirements.)
Things I don't like: I'm not sure if this is a technological limitation or just part of this design, but if I am playing music on my mp3 player while charging there is a noticeable electrical buzz/hum that is introduced. If I play with the volume settings I can reduce it but it's still there and annoying. This is my one pet peeve so far.
Other important details: I have only tried this with my MP3 player and my cell phone. I have not tried this with my laptop or any powered speakers yet. Was this review helpful?
