I don't have much to add to the other positive comments other than to say that these are nice, lightweight, well-balanced phones that were very easy to set-up. I didn't have to look at the instruction books at all. Amazing value for the money. I used them together with a cell phone linking machine (from GE) to have my cell phone be my house phone. Works great. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Lots of features Saturday, June 20, 2009 A Customer from Atlanta, GA
These are good phones and come packed with features. You really need to read the manual to learn how they all work. Most issues I've read that people have would be remedied if they read the manual. Battery life has been fine...had them for about 6 months now and no issues with battery life. Overall I really like these phones but as the Panasonic's get cheaper, these should get cheaper as well. The price hasn't fallen since I bought them 6 months ago at $70. If you're in the market for a fairly inexpensive phone system that works well, then these would be a good choice. 4 of 5 good phone for the buck Tuesday, May 05, 2009 A Customer from Fort Lauderdale, FL
Definitely worth the money. Good voice quality. The contrast on the display could be better - especially in the dark when the back-lit display is turned ON. Very small good looking phone unlike the big bricks that are still made by other manufacturers. The supplied batteries might not be the best quality rechargeable AAA. I will replace them eventually with something better. Overall a good phone system. Was this review helpful?

The phones sound great. Range and reception seem to be very good. The menu system, however, is harder to negotiate than Boston with a 10 year old map. (That street you were looking for...its GONE! bwahahaha) If you have trouble programming your DVD player, then get out the white flag in advance, you stand no chance.
In addition to the difficulty is using the menu system, which seems to run counter-logic to every other phone I've ever used, the ringing options on this phone are ridiculous. There is not a single ringer that actually sounds anything like a phone. Virtually every one sounds like the annoying midi-esque tones available on a cell phone in the mid 90's. Back when you had to pull out the antenna.
Other than those two points, though, the phones were fine. So, if you dislike your mother-in-law, a more perfect choice has yet to be made!

Four phones w/ answering machine for under $100 (w/ free shipping) is great. No problems w/ batteries, always have full charge that lasts for entire phone call (sometimes over an hour). Caller ID will display name AND number by second ring if it is a listed number (and you have patience!). If you want to see caller's number in CID log, just hit the TALK button when scrolling through log then OFF before dialing is completed, or hit copy to phonebook and then OK. Intercom is awesome. Can program each phone with its own name. You CAN pick up a handset if someone is on another handset (just push the TALK button and you're in the conversation!). You can't check out the CID log if another handset is actually in use (which is expected). Using the base answering machine is easy: just push PLAY and ERASE; using a handset from a different location to access answering machine is easy too and convenient (you can also access when away from home). There is a <1 second delay in the audible tones when dialing digits that is confusing the first time you use it (only the first time though!). The answering machine doesn't time stamp the message, but the time is easily seen in the CID log if you really need to know it. Was this review helpful?
2 of 3 customers found this review helpful. 3 of 5 Good phones...on paper, not in reality Friday, February 13, 2009 A Customer from WA
Overall these phones work okay, but there is one major flaw: the batteries rarely charge fully. I can have a phone on the charger for a week straight and it still shows partially charged. This results in the phone shutting off without warning after only 10-20 mins of use. Very rarely one handset will show fully charged...which doesn't last long. It's not just me either, look around on some deal sites and you'll see many others with the same issue. Aside from that flaw, here's some minor annoyances: 1) The caller ID display only shows 10 chars, and won't display the caller ID number in the call log...instead it shows either "NEW" or the date under the name where you would see the number, so you have to dial the caller ID entry to see which number it is. 2) You can't look at the caller ID log if someone is on another handset. 3) You can't pick up the phone if someone is on another handset. 4) Answering machine doesn't timestamp and has ONE very weird british female voice as the announcement. 5) Listening to and deleting messages requires traversing several menus. 6) the blue LCD is horrible to read sometimes. 7) there's a delay when dialing digits that sometimes confuses you.
Now the good: 1) Intercom works well. 2) Speakerphone works well. 3) You can listen to messages and delete them from any handset. 4) When there's new messages or caller IDs a red LED flashes on every handset, but reviewing NEW messages from any handset stops flashing on all handsets. 5) You can name each handset and give each unique ring tones.
