The mount itself was easy to attach to my Sony KDL-40S4100 LCD TV. The only problem I had with it was that I had to place mounting blocks behind the mount in order to create enough clearance in order to be able to turn the tilt locks. Once that was resolved things went swimmingly. Had an extra set of hands nearby in order to hold the TV at the angle I wanted in order to lock it in place. This is definitely a two-man job (if you want to do it safely). I like the fact that this mount has several spaces to sink your screws into studs. I have an older house and had to use different screws than those provided, but I believe mine was a unique mount. I spoke with Peerless before buying it to make sure that it would work with my TV as well and their customer service people were more than willing to answer any and all of my inquiries no matter how long it took. And above all else Buy.com had it in stock and in my hands in just a couple of days, a trait I can't eschew to some other places online!! Great job!!

Purchased this mount for my 42" Panasonic plasma, and am extremely happy with the result. Things I like about it: - any mounting bolt that you would ever need for any brand/model of flatscreen is included. Plus, the website gives a guide to which hardware to use on what TV, so there's no guesswork - the plate that mounts to the wall is completely open instead of just having a hole cut in the middle, so you have virtually unlimited options on where to put your power outlet and hole to run cables through the wall. ( I actually put both of these holes just below the mount to make them easier to access while the TV was mounted, but at least you have the option) - you can use the tilt to make it easier to plug cables into the TV - easy mounting process let me to do the entire thing singlehanded Nothing really that I didn't like. I could have saved a few bucks by going with the non-tilting model, but the flexibility was worth it to me. While I don't recommend mounting it high (like above a fireplace) because it strains your neck, you'll definitely need tilt if you do. Why would you buy a more expensive mount?

The ST650 is exactly what the literature says and the pictures show. The installation booklet is very helpful and I am very pleased with the process and the product characteristics. Buy.com is easy as always so how could one go wrong!

The Peerless Smartmount is easy to install. The instructions are straightforward, and the kit includes a wide variety of adapter hardware to enable wall mounting of most any flat screen display on the market. The tilt feature is fantastic, and it's a simple process to adjust the tilt of the display once mounted on the wall.

While I don't have much to compare it to, I'm confident in saying this is a very solid, quality mount. If nothing else, I can say that I managed to get my 37" LCD attached to the wall entirely by myself and with no tools past a cordless drill, a socket, and a level, which I didn't expect to be able to do. The wall bracket is sturdy, properly laid out, and small enough to let me shift my TV off center by maybe 3" without it peeking around the side; you'd have more leeway with a larger set, of course. It mounted easily with the included screws once I came up with an appropriate-sized drill bit for the pilot holes (the wood screws have hex heads in addition to the phillips slot, and they'll be much easier to install if you use a socket wrench or such). The parts that attach to the TV are large enough to offer some flexibility (and stability) without sticking past the top or bottom of the set, and there was a ridiculously large collection of screws and spacers included (you can get the full compatibility list on Peerless' website). Most importantly, once it's on the wall, there's just enough of a gap to get your hand behind it to plug in an AV cable if you know where you're aiming. This made it worth getting the "tilt" version of the mount even though I didn't intend to adjust the angle; the gap means I can change cables without taking the set off the wall, a HUGE plus. In the end it looks nice (which is to say invisible), took less work to install than I expected, and I'm pretty confident it isn't going to fall off in an earthquake, which is half the reason I bought it to replace the table my set was on.

This is the 2nd Peerless mount I purchased. It retails for $150 on the Peerless website so you can't beat the price plus free shipping. Rock on Buy.com! It's easy to mount and comes with a full complement of fastners that work with 90% of the tv's out there. You need to have a ratchet with a 10mm socket in order to hand tighten the lag bolts.

A real bargain when compared to mounts you find in stores. Very sturdy mount but installation instructions are subpar compared to the Omnimount products I've installed.

Works great, very solid and low profile for a tilting mount. Only problem is in getting the lag bolts all the way in without stripping the threads, but I've had that difficulty on another mount I'd helped install.

The price and product quality is outstanding must buy if you hate to see those TV stands and make the TV more richier. But the manual guide is a little too short had to figure some installation.But still must BUY!

Let me get straight to the point, you will not find an easier and more economical wall mount for a flat screen TV than the Peerless Smartmount ST650. It is so easy to use and right out of the box you are nearly complete with installation. Don't make the mistake of buying another brand, in the end you will not be happy.

After deciding that I wanted a wall-mount with the tilt feature, this was pretty much the cheapest one that I found. Came with a lot of extra parts that I didnt need, but I suppose that they cover any tv setup that you might have.

Fast shipping, product is a little to bulky for 32" TV, some parts will stick out after built. But still works and satisfied to what its worth. Tilting manual was a little confusing but manage to make it work after hanging it to the brackets. Good BUY!

This was a great priced item compared to the box stores. The mount is well made and was easy to install. Worked great for my odd wall with 24" studs. Mount allows adjustment for centering and worked great. Of course if you have a large or long wall you may want to buy the next size up for centering. Make sure you measure well and should come out well. As pretty as a picture hung on the wall. Buy.com shipping was free and fast. You can't go wrong with this mount. (42" Westinghouse)

If you want to hang the 50" plasma above the fireplace, the plate may not be long enough to center the tv due to the funny placement of the studs. I end up using the st670 for it. Check your studs and measurement see if you can center it. Buy a bigger one for margin of safety.

I bought this Peerless mount from Buy.com and opted for the free shipping which stated it would take longer to arrive. It did not take any longer. The mount came long before I expected it. It was easy to install as long as you have a good stud finder. I would recommend this product to others as well as shopping with buy.com

Shipped to me in 3 days and worked great. Very sturdy and easily mounted my 46' LCD onto a brick wall. Slides on rails for wall centering, has tilt mechanism, and locking set screws.

Buy.com did it again! This was my 2nd purchase and everything arrived sooner than expected. Buy.com is great website and always comes through! The wall mount itself is a good product, I had to visit the manu. website to figure out what set-up I was supposed to use for my Olevia 542i. It fits nicely, looks great and was fairly easy to assemble. The only other problem that I had (besides my TV not being in the instructions) was that the holes on the back of the TV and the plastic shell on the TV were slightly off, but with a little engineering I was able to make it work. Good product and nice fit for the Olevia 542i.

Mount was as described and instructions were very easy to follow. The mount is holding up my 42in plasma tv without a problem. Like some others mentioned, the tilt has the knobs to lock it in place but for added security there are 2 screws that also lock the tilt so there is no need to worry about it moving on you. Also the hardware to mount almost any tv was included and for this price you don't usually see that. Don't be fooled by the price its a top rated item which I highly recommend.

Purchased a 40" Sony Bravia LCD and this mount and installation was a breeze. Why purchase a $200,- mount if a $70,- mount works just as well? I read the installation instructions carefully and installation went without a problem. It took me a little over an hour by myself. All hardware for my TV was included. The extra screw in addition to the knob to secure the tilt angle ensures the tilt won't slip under the TV's weight and makes it a well thought out design. I highly recommend this mount.

Skip the $100+ mounts you can get at BB and CC. This mount was very easy to install. the hardest part is verifying everything is straight and level. I am using it to hold a 46" Samsung LCD and it works great. I had the mount on the wall in less that 30 minutes and it took about 10 more minutes to mount the TV. Very secure and solid.

Product needs a center hole for wall mounting. I had to mount it off center in two studs (allowed in instructions....and between my speaker mounts). The frame has twisted (due to weight of monitor) just enough to be out of level and then the Plasma started to slide on the mount (very slowly over 3 weeks). Be sure to level the unit AND tighten the allen head lock nuts SECURELY!

This mount is very sturdy and well constructed. Has hardware enclosed for most types of Flat Panels. Did not need to buy any thing extra to mount my 42" Toshiba Regza. Will buy another for my bedroom.

Product came sooner than promised. Was very easy to mount. Did not come with mounting hardware for metal studs but toggle bolts are cheap. Have mounted it twice due to placing it above fireplace and realizing that was too high. 50" Panasonic plasma is handled very easily. Long hex wrench included was absolute necessity for ease of installation.

This wall mount was as advertised, very easy to install. Basic homeowner skills are all that's needed. A level, stud finder, some basic tools, and a little pre-planning on wall location. Installed above fireplace, "caution", studs are not 16" apart above fireplace. Key is leveled and centered horizontally, you may have to slide TV left or right on mount to center on wall. Buy some top of line wall anchors (120lb rated)from Lowes etc. and use in addition to stud anchors for mounting in this location. Purchase additional screws for securing set to bracket arms, (use 6 total, there's only 4 included) Most places charge $400 - $500 to install bracket and hang set.

The wall mount was as described and included all needed hardware. We ended up using different hardware to mount it on the wall, as we had to make half inch holes in the wall and use wall anchors. I am not happy about the big holes on the wall but the wall mount fits and the 37" TV covers the hardware just fine. Please note the tilt is manual. Meaning, you have to hang the TV on the proper groove much like you adjust the back seat of a lounge chair. To change the tilt, lift the TV and set on the next groove. The wall mount is extremely strong. Before hanging the TV, a 200 lb man was hanging off it and it didn't budge at all. Good product, good value, recommended buy. Good luck.

I researched a lot to find mount for my plasma TV and I found the peerless is reliable. This deal is perfect with a great price. The only misleading part is the picture is not same as the mount they shipped. Otherwise I would recommend this product to others.

This Mount was well made. Very good instructions. My TV was not on the list and I visited their web site and it wasn't there either. I called their customer service # and they gave me the information I needed. Took about an hour to install not including the new elec outlet and cable outlet. This is a tilt mount and I placed 73" off the floor . I have no complaints.
