5 of 5 Pricey, but valuable product! Wednesday, January 16, 2008 Ed Widick from Balt/Wash
When mounting a Plasma or LCD Television you should consider soundness of support then function and design. This unit excels at all of these.
Once you receive the box, you know you have a project on your hands! If you are not handy V have a professional install or handy friend assist! You dont want to make an error when putting this up!
This unit is sturdy and solidly made! It seems like too much for the 42" Plasma I was mounting. However, I didn't want to install another mount in the future when I upgrade to a larger unit so I choose - a mount, which would also support the plasma unit I would like to get in the future!
Instructions are easy to follow and the unit is well packaged.
The most time consuming and most important part of the process is mount placement! Most of my time was spent was identifying the location of the wall studs! Instructions stress the importance of this and if you think about it - it is the most important step! I have 2 stud finders and each identified different positions! Once I identified the centers of the studs on the wall and then determined my exact placement of where the TV was to be viewed V then I knew where to place the mount and the install procedure was a breeze!
The universal mount fit my Panasonic plasma with no issues and it was a snap for me and my wife to pop it onto the mount.
Assembly and placing on the wall was a very easy process! The articulating arm and leveling features are indispensable!
I have mounted inside an entertainment wall unit so and this arm allows me to pull out and angle to any point in the room. We leave pulled out about 20 away from the wall (also helps dissipate the heat generated by the plasma) where the face of out old projection TV was and it looks like the TV is floating you cant see the mount until you turn off axis! Movement of the arm is stiff not sloppy and best to use two hands to move. The articulating arm makes it easy to move and access the rear of the unit to attach cabling and when needing to adjust for viewing anywhere in the room and removing any reflections on screen!
Pricey, but valuable product, I highly recommend this unit!

5 of 5 Definitely heavyduty arm... Tuesday, April 24, 2007 ragbiz5@aol.com from Santa Monica, CA
Definitely a solid product. Very heavy....not easy to get placed exactly at height needed due to sometimes misleading directions BUT...once its up its never coming down! Measure measure measure before attaching to wall.
Movement is stiff - due to weight of this product and additional TV weight..need 2 hands to move and adjust. Does have very good variety of angles and the self leveling factor is great.
Highly recommend this product. Was this review helpful?
