Pantone Color Cue2 - GEB103

I got the Color Cue 2 because Pantone did not have one for me to review. Because of the holiday crunch and my need to submit my "top ten items{ list before the holidays, I felt compelled to buy it. At less than $300 and based upon my Pantone’s contact and his enthusiasm, I felt i could not go wrong. He was right and I am ecstatic with it. To be able to get the accurate Pantone number AND the RGB values, along with the sRGB values AND the Adobe 1998 AND the plethora of other necessary numbers, I am amazed at the low price of this unit. What till you amaze your colleagues with your ability to specify the new Pantone GOE ink colors. The real bonus? This is actually a photospectrometer. Not a colorimeter. I have checked it against my EyeOne Pro and it's dead on the money for accuracy. I even checked it against my really expensive X-Rite densitometer. Same accuracy. I now find this be a part of my color arsenal. You should, too. Especially if accurate color is a necessary part of your work. One hint. though. Don’t let everyone at work how you can be so knowledgeable about color. Do magicians tell they do their tricks? You shouldn’t either. It almost looks like another sort of cell phone when it’s in the holster on your waist. Also, don’t leave it around on your desk. I can pretty much guarantee that it will grow legs and walk away.
