5 of 5 Durable Tuesday, February 26, 2008 Andrew from Charleston WV
Great drive it has made it through the washer and dryer twice and still works perfectly. Over time the lettering has come off but I blame that on the washing I subjected it too. The drive does not work with Vista Ready Boost it is too slow. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Very slow. Unreputable company. Wednesday, October 17, 2007 A Customer from Atlanta GA
The device is very slow. Also the company is unreputable and refused to pay rebate. Stay away for ACP-EP products - that's my advice. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Good value for the money, no issues with use Tuesday, June 26, 2007 A Customer from CT
I have never lost or had corrupt files with this jump drive. Very sleek drive and fast. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Hardware works, Software had a problem Sunday, April 08, 2007 A Customer from USA
The USB key works fine. However, the Portable Vault software on the drive was a trial version. Contacted ACP-EP Memory about the problem and they promptly replaced the drive with a new one that had the fully licensed version of the software. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Beyond Easy - Way Cheap - Great Quality! Monday, March 12, 2007 Proj from Charlotte, North Carolina
My headline is my review: Beyond Easy - Way Cheap - Great Quality! What else can you ask of your Flash Drive? When they are on sale again buy 1/2 a dozen or so... I only got 2, and I'm kicking myself. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Excellent jump drive Tuesday, February 27, 2007 Mike from Charlotte, NC
I have a small bank consulting firm and I was looking for a jump drive to store confidential data that could be password protected. The "vault" area of the Privacy Drive is just what I needed. Since data are often exchanged between consultants, we all have the same password for the "vault" area. Therefore, we can easily share data within the team but if a jump drive is lost or stolen, no one can retrieve the data. I purchased about five jump drives and they worked so well, I purchased another five. I am 100% satisfied. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Gets the Job Done Sunday, February 18, 2007 A Customer from Brooklyn, NY
Overall, extremely easy to easy to use. Basically, its just plug and play. Nice feature with the mobile vault, allows you to encrypt sensitive documents. My only gripe is that it doesnt come with a string, like some of the other models. Fast shipping, and reliable, Thank You Buy.com Was this review helpful?

Great product and great price. I bought a similar product from Best Buy for 3 times the price. This one is just as good. Would recommend. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Great flash drive Saturday, January 20, 2007 A Customer from Washington State
This is my second 1G privacy drive. I have sensitive data on my drive and have to work on various computers. It's nice to know my data is protected in the password protected vault and even if I lost it, no one would be able to read my data. I've not had any trouble with my first drive and I've had it 8 months. I also like that it is so slim that it can fit in rignt next to another USB connection. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great price fantastic performance Sunday, December 31, 2006 Jen from NJ
I am never without this portable drive. The vault software is fantastic for protecting your valuable files with strong encryption. In addition that drive is fast with USB 2.0 technology and is instantly picked up on an XP box with plug & play. I've recommended this drive to numerous friends who have all expressed the same satisfaction level with the product. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great tool for often misplaced USB drives Tuesday, December 19, 2006 A Customer from Boston, MA
If your like me, you have misplaced a USB drive before. The Privacy Drive takes the worry of misplacing private information. With the included software the files are encrypted. You can rest easy knowing if you misplace the drive your files will be out of reach of those who find it. Was this review helpful?

No issues at all and the encryption software is simple to use. My wife accidentally put it through the washer AND dryer and when I pludged it in to the USB port of my PC (an old one that I barely use - "just in case"); well it came right up as a drive and all my data was there and it worked perfectly. I don't recommend washing and drying it but it was good to know that it still worked afterwards - rugged! For the price this is a winner! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Waterproof Saturday, October 14, 2006 Justin from Lancaster, OH
I have had this drive for about 6 months and it hasn't failed me yet even after my wife ran it through the washing machine!! I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical when I bought this product because of the cheap price and the fact that I didn't recognize the brand name but it has exceeded expectation and has been much more reliable than better known, more expensive brands such as Sandisk. The undocumented "waterproof" feature was icing on the cake. Was this review helpful?

Nice product, kind of a cheap plastic feel, but what do you expect for free. Seem to work just fine. The e-vault thing is cool if you are concerned about people accessing private files. You can easily password protect the whole USB drive.
Overall, great product, great price.

5 of 5 Neat, quick, easy to use Monday, September 25, 2006 bnsdavis from Forest, VA
I love my privacy drive. It is so easy to use. I teach computer classes at our local community college, and it is so easy for me to prepare for my class, put it on my privacy drive and then take it to class and download it to my computer to use for teaching materials.
I remove it from the USB port after downloading. The cap is attached to my key chain for the room in which I teach, so I put the drive right back into the cap, I don't forget the private drive, and it is so simple.
A must have for anyone that needs to take info back and forth between physical locations. Was this review helpful?

I love the size of this zip drive. Its very light in weight & can be attached to a keychain. A very useful product if you want to have a zip drive handy for quick file transfer. It also provides security which is a very important feature if you are carrying sensitive data. Was this review helpful?

I needed a Portable Drive to back up my wife's business PC. I went to Buy.Com and in 2 minutes found a couple options with recommendations as to the best buy for the money. I selected the item and gave my shipping and credit card information and in less then 10 minutes the Hard Drive was on its way. The equipment was delivered right to my door three business days later. Not that I hate shopping but I work too and did not have the time to go to best buy or other stores in the area. I could have found one I am sure but I am certain that it would have taken me several hours and I would have have saved any money. Buy.Com saves me money because my time is money! I've had this drive for a month or two now, and its still working nicely. The problem I've had is that its casing is a bit flimsy: the metal and rubber coatings peel, and the lanyard hole on mine broke (my fault; had it attached to a keychain, which probably stressed it beyond what I should have).
Pros:
Cheap, Slim, Works well
Cons:
Mediocre construction

For the price, this is a great deal. I didn't really need the software, but it was a nice plus. However, when I first got it, the software did not work, and an email to the manufacturer was not answered. I finally discovered that you could reload the software (I had to dig quite a bit to find it) and the software worked fine after that. One important thing to note is that NOT ALL DATA ON THE DRIVE IS ENCRYPTED! Simply copying something to the drive works exactly like any other similar drive. To use encryption, you have to run the program from the drive and add files to their "vault". As long as you realize this, it's not a problem, and, since the encryption program is Windows-only, it's useful to be able to use the "conventional" (non-encrypted) capability if you need to transfer files to/from other systems (such as Linux). The Drive is easy to use and the price is right. But, after carrying it around in my pocket for three days the coating is peeling off the outer case. The cap may have future problems, it seems that it will get lose with use and may fall off. Was this review helpful?

Pluged it in and it worked like advertised. Somehow lost the portable vault software (not on the drive or got accidently deleted.) Got a download and now everything works great. I would reccommend this product to everybody, and stompsoft software also has great customer service. Was this review helpful?
