I needed to upgrade the memory on my 4 year old HP laptop. Two of these brought me to the max of 2GB. Once installed, boot up was perfect and suddenly my clunky old laptop was humming. No problems. Great price. Fast shipping.

In Feb. 2009, I wanted to upgrade my Apple Mac iBook (Late Fall 2005 version, 1.33 GHz) to OS 10.5 (aka Leopard), but was advised to max out the RAM to 1.256 GB for this operating system. I bought this memory chip, installed it in 10 minutes, and checked to ensure it was recognized by the computer. Leopard works fine! The RAM arrived quickly, was inexpensive and works totally transparently. It's nice to find good stuff for this "old" a computer, b/c it extends its life and usefulness.

This def made my computer so fast and the delivery was very quick. I didn't even need to upgrade for faster delivery to get it quicker. Also much much cheaper than other sites and stores. This was my second product from Buy.com. I would always recccomend this company to buy things.

I have been checking the internet and stores for months and then this special popped up on buy.com. It was 50% cheaper than anywhere else. I used the manufacturer's website to doublecheck compability. I ordered it, got it ahead of time, plugged it in and it worked. Buy.com is the greatest.

All went as planned. The right product, the right service at a good price. My Toshiba Satellite laptop recovered its original speed after replacing one of the 256MB clips by the 1GB.

My laptop (about 5 yrs old in 2008) was running on 512MB RAM, but after adding this 1 GB memory, the performance is great. Runs much faster, and can do many things at once. Great purchase. Easy to install.

Got this item from Buy.com days ahead of when I expected it, popped it in my aging Sony Vaio laptop (PCG-GRT series) and can see instant results in faster page loading in IE. I'm buying another one to put in the other slot!! Thanks Buy.com!!!

This is a great upgrade for my 2 yr old laptop. After multiple Windows patches and 2 SPs the performance is back to what is used to be when new. I can now get another year or 2 out of this laptop for less than $40. Go for it!

First set didn't work, had to send it back. The second set works and the laptop runs like a new laptop. It took a little longer to get the second set, otherwise everything is fine.

I installed this memory module in my rather slow Dell 8600. Now it starts up twice as fast and shuts down just as quick. Programs start up faster too. I was thinking of getting a new notebook, now I think I'll hold on to it until the bugs are worked out of Vista. Or when Apple decides to come out with a touchscreen convertible laptop.

Great price, easy to install. While the price is higher it is because it is older RAM. I looked many places and could not fine one less expensive. The package came well protected and installed in minutes. My computer recognized it at the reboot and it is a great asset to an older laptop.

I own a Sony vaio laptop VGN-FS640W with max ram upgrade of 1gb. Laptop has two slots each 256mb. I replaced only one slot leaving the second with 256mb intact. It was very easy to install this ram chip. All i did was complete shut down of windows and removed the battery also as a precaution. I worked on a static free surface and installed this ram. Did a reboot and it was GO! My laptop now has ram of 1271mb and is super fast. I was hesitant to buy PNY not knowing how it might perform but I still purchased it after reading good reviews. This ram works great, system is super fast, install is easy and buy.com shipped this item to me next day. I got item in 5 days and I am very happy with this purchase. Overall the cost is reasonable as well since DDR Sodimm 333mhz chips are very expensive and dont come on sale often. The cheapest I've seen this was for 69 bucks at circuit city and that too around the holidays. I used the promo buy.com had for 50bucks off on any purchase of $51 and over if you apply for the Revolution Card. All in all I got this chip for $18 and you cant beat that price anyday or anywhere else. Cheers!

Well, it was way cheaper than the Kingston brand, and was a piece of cake to install. I was upgrading from 512MB and with this made it a 1.25GB setup (had to lose one of the 256MB chips). I didn't notice any speed improvements in bootup or normal program use, however. Kind of a let-down. I mainly got it so I'd have more memory for recording music through Cakewalk software... and it seems to help with that.

This memory is working perfectly (and now my system is a LOT faster)! I only bought ONE (of two available memory slots in my laptop) just to test it out. Now I'm ordering the second (of this same product). I can't wait for Vista to eat up ALL of this new module too!

works well it got a little hot in the bottom of my laptop when i plugged it in but it improved performance quite a bit. i also bought a external hard drive with this upgrade and freeded up space on my internal hard drive and together made a huge difference in preformance.... even in a 3 year old laptop only 1.8 GHz. would suggest to friend w/ dieing old computer or laptop
