I've had this model for about three months now having replaced another Oster steamer. This model is design badly leading to steam burns. The first time I got burned I blamed myself for not being careful enough, but now I don't think so. There is not safe way to add more water during cooking. The drip tray has no handle at all. I tried using tongs but with the tray full of water that just makes a mess. I'm sporting blisters on 4 fingers today. And I'm shopping for a new steamer having thrown mine away. I don't dare give it to Goodwill. Was this review helpful?

This item does NOT cook 10 cups nor even 5 cups of rice at one time. The rice cooking dish inside of it can barely hold 2 cups of cooked rice. It CANNOT cook rice simultaneously as you cook a meat or vegetable. This machine can cook fast, BUT plan on cooking your rice first, then the other things next. Also, I would NOT recommend it for a family of 4 or larger. Keep shopping for something better. Was this review helpful?
