I have read many of the Stephanie Plum books and this is a great start for the series. You meet some of the ongoing characters (include her uncle's Buick) and get to know their stories and personalities. I highly recommend this and the rest of the series - Stephanie and the gang are fun and get involved in interesting situations constantly.

First of her books that I've read and I've not been disappointed. Easy read for an airplane, beach, etc. - quick pace and entertaining (though a bit unrealistic) plot. I'll definitely read more in this series...
