Maybe too small for half-brothers Lucas and Nathan Scott, who share the same father but two very different lives. Nathan is the golden boy, Lucas the abandoned illegitimate son - and now both of them are on the same basketball team.Featuring all 22 Year-One Episodes, this Bonus-Packed Collection chronicles the heartbreak, challenges, lies, and loves that erupt from the fateful new relationship between Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) and Nathan (James Lafferty). Given their pasts, the boys would have a hard enough time working together. But add in the romantic compilations engendered by three beautiful girls - plus the emotional turmoil created by adults who relive (and sometimes regret) their long-ago decisions - and lives are guaranteed to collide. "...we haven't had a pleasure this guilty since "Melrose Place."" Entertainment Weekly "...thumbs up to The WB's "One Tree Hill."" TV Guide "As with other WB shows like "Everwood", "One Tree Hill" remains a solid drama due to fine performances..." CurrentFilm.com "...the quieter and more personal alternative to the overblown glee of The OC." DVD In My Pants "It's got an intense, hunky leading man in Murray. Good performances all the way around." San Francisco Examiner
 Editor's Note
Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) and Nathan Scott (James Lafferty) are two half-brothers whose lives are brought together on the basketball court when they both end up playing for the same team in high school. The previously estranged twosome struggle to prove who is the better player on the court, and also face personal turmoil, most notably in the shape of Nathan's girlfriend, Peyton Sawyer (Hilarie Burton), whom they both lust after. The parental struggle that split the boy's upbringings also plays a major part in ONE TREE HILL, with Nathan's father, Dan (Paul Johansson) and Lucas' mother, Karen (Moira Kelly) bringing many unneeded complications into Nathan and Lucas's lives. The first season is included here in its entirety.
