Good Product for the price. Installation was fairly simple and item came with pre-applied thermal paste which wasn't listed. Keeps my AMD 5800+ overclocked to 3.2GHz at around 50c. I installed this cooler in place of the stock AMD device, and I found the results impressive.. I'm running an AMD 64X2 4800+ at 2500 MHZ, on an Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe MB.. While calculating PI to a few million digits, and utilizing the CPU's at 100% for an extended period, I was registered 53C versus 67C with the stock cooler.. Ambient temperature was 85F with 79% humidity.. It's quiet, large, installs easily, cools efficiently, and well worth the investment.. Was this review helpful?

When it comes to cpu coolers I have tried alot of them some of them personally others were for computers I had built I was very suprised when I had received the OCZ Vanquisher the fan is pretty quiet and it keeps my overclocked AMD Athlon 64 nice n cool even under a load it runs at 40 degress celsius I highly recommend this cooler if you are on a tight budget and want awesome cooling Was this review helpful?

I got this to replace the original CPU cooler. The cooler dropped my CPU temperature by 30 degrees both at idle and under 100% usage. It is Huge, so you'd want to have a lot of room in your case. The only downside is the style of attaching pins are not the easiest to get properly secured, but it probably took me about 2 minutes to get it installed after removing the old cooler. It is almost same as AC Freezer7, same construction, little wider. Nice fan with 4pin controlled by motherboard (enable smart fan). Installation is not super easy as with all standard Intel mounting coolers, I prefer screws, but it does the job - I used it 2 times and both where fantastic, E8500 o/c to 3.4Ghz under 50'C and Q6600 3.0Ghz under 55'C. So yes - it is suitable for ANY Intel CPU!!! Was this review helpful?

I recently built a 3.2ghz Core 2 Duo machine and used this cooler. I found that, when attached properly with Arctic Silver paste it performed 40% better than the stock cooler that came with the CPU. As I overclocked the system, the cooler really shined as it continued to keep the CPU at 29 dec C. even after a 10% speed boost. This is a great Heat Sink Fan. It will work great whether you are running a dual-core or quad-core processor. Don't let the rantings of a user who likely did not install it correctly dissuade you from buying this.
I have my E2180 at 3.0GHz (50% overclock) and I get max load temps of 53*c. Granted I lapped the bottom, I recommend that anyone who gets this to do that, but even with the stock finish you will have great performance with this. Was this review helpful?
